Crazy 20 year cycle.

2004- lose to Maine. Pathetic team.
2014- run through 3 straight top 10 teams and the first #1 team in the playoff era.
2024- obliterated by Toledo and look embarrassingly pathetic again.

Agreed. This might be the the worst loss in modern history

All I know is if the word “blind” comes out in any press conferences this week, I feel confident someone will run a killdozer through the athletic complex.

Maine was a bad FCS team. We are a FBS team that lost everybody from the coaching staff to the kicker that got beat by a better FBS team that returns a lot of experience and coaching.

This may not even be the worst loss we’ve endured this season. Toledo would teabag Arizona State.

The gap between SEC and FCS in 2004 was not nearly as large as it is now. We had a chance to beat Maine in 2004. This game tonight was over in the first quarter.

Some of you obviously don’t know about Mac football, Ohio football or football in general.
Toledo is a decent football program and have won some games over the years and been very competitive.
We had no business losing this game but
comparing it to Maine ???
We lost to 17-ing Maine - at home.
Maine occasionally has a decent baseball team.
I didn’t even know Maine had a football team back then when we played them.
