Dang, I only just now saw that Man U and the Spurs are on Peacock. Would have been a good match to watch.

No Peacock? I have it with xfinity, but I don’t know how readily available it is otherwise.

Final: Liverpool 2, Brighton 0

Not a dominant performance by Liverpool, but they were never threatened.

Why the leg kick? That part seemed unnecessary.

His job is to keep the ball out of the goal. He threw his left arm and left leg out when he realized that Luis had just beaten him to the ball, and it was to his left.

The ref looks at proximity to the ball, and is it a natural play. The two players were within a couple of feet of each other, with the ball between them. At that distance, each has a legitimate right to the play they made. Throwing out the leg to block the ball was a natural play for the GK. That Luis was taken down was mostly due to the two players being so close to each other, and going full speed in opposing directions. Each made a natural move, so it's a good no call. The play was checked by VAR (not always perfect), and no card was confirmed.

The pic in the below tweet captures the situation just before Luis was hit. Luis has just headed the ball, and the GK has thrown out his arm and his leg to try to block the ball. It's a bang-bang play, but I think the call was correct.

damn, Romaldo with a hat trick, getting his third goal on a header off a corner at the 81 minute mark. 3-2, Man U. 37 years old. smh

Edit: And after 4 minutes of added time, it's final, 3-2, Man U.
Not a bad outcome for Arsenal.

Brentford defeated Burnley today, 2-0. Not a big deal to most, but it did keep @RyanSnyder's Everton team 1 point above Burnley, and as such just above the relegation cut.

Keep the updates coming Tom...until Everton drops below the relegation line. After that, they're not needed anymore.

Huge match tomorrow. Absolutely massive. Wolves at home tomorrow, then Newcastle at home Thursday. If they don't win at least one of those, they're gonna get relegated. I think they absolutely have to get four points.

Rest of the schedule is very difficult

@ West Ham
Man Utd
Crystal Palace
@ Liverpool
Chelsea
@ Leicester City
Brentford
@ Arsenal

They also have a match against Watford that needs rescheduled. I'm really starting to worry.

Apologies Ryan. Wolves fan here. Decent match today. Wish wolves were better in the final third

Hey guys, can we maybe start a Championship thread next year? Cause I'm pretty sure my club is going down. 😥

Everton are just lifeless right now. I thought they played alright in the first half, but once they conceded that goal (to a boyhood Everton fan, nonetheless) they just folded. It's been really hard to watch. I'm fully of the mindset now that they're going down. I posted their remaining matches above. I duno how the hell they're gonna escape this. I think there's a better chance they finish 19th than 17th or better at this stage. Watford surpassing them wouldn't surprise me.

the pass ... the first touch ... the shot. Havertz gets the goal in the 89th minute to give Chelsea a 1-0 win over Newcastle U

The thing about the EPL, more often than not a goal is the result of a string of maneuvers perfectly executed by various players. If it’s not perfect throughout the string, no goal. I’m watching CP play MC and CP tried a very difficult pass that needed to be 100% precise to get the goal. It was a pretty good pass, 90%. Not good enough.

And half (probably more) the enjoyment of watching is to see how they develop those strings. Even watching a team work the ball meticulously out of the back is damn entertaining.
