Penn St gives up a goal with 41 seconds left and then loses in OT 3-2.

Minnesota’s top line has 3 NHLers - including PA turncoat and 3rd pick in draft, Logan Cooley.
You could really see that talent gap on the ice last night (I guess night before as well, but I didn't watch that one lol). PSU played hard, Minnesota made their own luck with 41 seconds left in regulation to force OT.
PSU did come away with a point in the conference standings, which could help them get home ice in the B1G quarters as long as they take care of business next weekend against Wisconsin (who walloped MSU last night 6-2 and left MSU 3 points ahead of PSU and ND with a bye the final weekend). Next weeked ND @ Michigan and OSU @ Minnesota as well. PSU can finish anywhere between 3rd and 6th in conference depending upon next weekend. Just win!
Honestly the way Penn State competes every year is pretty admirable given all the other teams have numerous NHL draft picks on roster. Minnesota and Michigan underachieve for the talent they have on rosters. Penn State still does not have a player in NHL nor a 1st or 2nd round pick.

have said many times, gadowsky teams do not play with an edge. they are routinely out muscled. so much time is put into offense, it appears defense is over looked.
Not to mention special teams have normally been solid, but not even average last few seasons.

He is a terrific person. MaconNitt and I were hosted by him at their tailgate at the Minnesota game in 2019 and we returned the favor this past year as he and his wife and nephew ventured east. Wonderful people and good friends.
