Still in the virtual waiting room myself. Don't know what's going onLimited tix went on sale at 10am. I couldn't even get through. Prices on StubHub are currently very high, $338 for standing room.

Probably thousands and thousands of people all trying to get limited tix at the same time. Not surprised at all. And to think some of those September games were drawing flies at the ballpark. Have to wonder how this run will affect season ticket sales in 2023.Still in the virtual waiting room myself. Don't know what's going on
A pleasant diversion, yeah, being that I’m a Nationals fan.Betting not many of us ever expected this thread would be active at this late date. Pleasant surprise.
The umpire definitely is having difficulty judging the low ball specifically...neither team's batters seem happy with the strike zone in general. Is it me or does this home plate ump have a schizo strike zone? Sometimes it’s inside sometimes it’s a strike.
The broadcasters indicated Darvish has thrown something like 18 different speeds on his pitches so it’s hard to anticipate what he will throw.Harper said he was waiting for the fastball post his homer. So I just got home ... I only caught the inning where Harper hit the HR on the radio broadcast. Phillies radio broadcasters, especially LA, seemed really frustrated with how many fastballs the Phils were taking, especially for 3rd strikes. Is Darvish pitching a great game, or is the home plate ump having a tough night, or are the Phils taking too many pitches (or some combo of these)?
Schwarbomb! He blasted that one, longest homer ever hit in Petco Park!Schwarber with the HR to lead off the 6th inning ... 2-0, Phils
I agree with Harp. Might as well get ready for #1 and hope you can adjust to whatever he spins up there. But Darvish has to be a handful given the gap in speeds and the number of variations he throws. I always wonder if given this that these guys are guessing a bit and simply can’t adjust or react. This is as good a pitching matchup you can get.The broadcasters indicated Darvish has thrown something like 18 different speeds on his pitches so it’s hard to anticipate what he will throw.Harper said he was waiting for the fastball post his homer.
Wonder how far Wheeler can go.
Filth…Interesting to bring Seranthony in for the 8th inning. The way he pitched in the 4th game of the NLDS on Sunday, I'd save him for the 9th inning. I guess closer by committee is still the policy.
