I’ve been to hundreds of games thru the years. I there against the Rays, then the next year against the Yankees. I was there Friday night, and at today’s game. It was exiting, exhausting, frustrating and exhilarating all rolled into one game! A full range of emotions, I’m absolutely spent.

I will be there for this series also!
Holy 💩what a ride!

Congrats to Phillies. But you couldn't pay me to be in the city of Philadelphia tonight. If you value your life.

I’ve defended rhys on here multiple times. He’s frustrating to root for at times, but if you think you’re finding a better 1B or that Hall is even close to him as a player you’re way off. He just won us 2 nlcs games, when he’s hit he is as good as anyone at the plate.

really? the residents probably wouldn't want you there anyway. ;)

for what it's worth, I've spoken to about a dozen people that are in the city tonight, celebrating. All are having a good time, and all of them feel quite safe.

His defense is shaky at times. And he goes into batting funks that drive fans crazy. He's got a great eye for balls and strikes. And when he gets into one of his batting zones, as he's done of late, he's easy for the fans to like.

Hall may have a place on the team in the future if he can learn to handle breaking balls a little better. But at this point, Hoskins is clearly the better option for the Fightins at 1st base.

Just the realty my friend in this age of violence in our cities. When I lived in the area used to love to venture to South Street. I would never go down there now. Didn't they have a murder at one most popular intersections the other week?

My last comment on this, as this is a Phillies thread.

We'll have to agree to disagree on cities. In the past few months I've been in Philadelphia, New York City, and Baltimore. I had a blast in each, and was not concerned at any time about where I was, or worried about where I could or could not go within those cities.

Things look real dangerous in Philadelphia this evening:

As for South Street in Philadelphia, there was a murder there earlier this year. It took place on South Street, between 4th & 5th. It occurred at 1 am, and started out as an argument and escalated into something far worse. I've been on South Street 4 or 5 times in the past year, and felt as safe there as I felt walking around the lawn at my house.

I hope your experiences are the norm. Unfortunately crime is on the rise and at a split second, what may feel safe all of a sudden you could be involved in a drive by shooting. It's the age we live in. It's realty my friend. We need leaders who respect law enforcement and believe criminals eed to be in prison and not walking our streets. Good evening to you.

Take it to the test board Bitterman.

Great game. It seemed that the ground crew fixed up the mound two times before the inning for the Padres, but not the Phils. I found that frustrating. That couldn't have been the ground crew's decision

Congrats to the Phillies and their followers.

Interesting that MLB is going with not starting WS until Friday instead of something like Wednesday, which would have worked out nicely for multiple reasons. Will not be surprised if the layoff adversely affects one of the teams.

On a positive note, one city will get the jubilation. On a negative note, the other will see their hometown franchise lower their WS winning success rate even more.

I was wondering about that. But, then I also thought about how the delays probably hurt the guy pitching more than the guys batting. So, there's that.

Well they certainly hurt Dominguez and his grip on the ball, who typically has good control and yet threw 3 condition-driven wild pitches... 🤷‍♂️
Then the mound was reworked before Darvish took the mound in the next 1/2 inning.

For the Phillies to overcome the Dominguez/grip debacle defines the resiliency of this team.
