Yes, but I know the chances as slim. I believe they'll be notifying the lucky ones tomorrow.Did anyone enter for the World Series ticket lottery?
I had early access for the last series and was able to get great seats behind the Phillies dugout for game 5 last Sunday. Now my only hope is the lottery. Might be stuck paying secondary market pricesYes, but I know the chances as slim. I believe they'll be notifying the luck ones tomorrow.
Did anyone enter for the World Series ticket lottery?
My whole family registered and nothing. I think those selected were notified this morning.I did. Crickets so far.
I know this is probably a dumb question, but if anyone has advice on getting semi-reasonably tickets to a game I'd appreciate it. My grandmother is a huge fan and is getting up there in age, and I'm interested in buying a pair for her to attend a game. I'm out of state and am not a fan so I'm not as connected as many of you. I did sign up for the ticket lottery but expect the odds are low. I might also need to get her in a section with easy in/out access or a seating area with disability access as a precaution. She doesn't have any disabilities, but is in her 80s so expecting her to do a lot of walking around a stadium isn't realistic.
I got my rejection email.

I know it's a long shot but just putting it out there as this might be my grandmother's last chance to see the Phillies at this level. I signed up for the ticket lottery but received an email last night saying I wasn't selected. I live in Texas and ironically saw an article yesterday about how expensive the games in Houston are. I think they were sharing resale prices but it was about $1000 minimum to get into a game.I think you're asking for the impossible. There was an article I saw in the past day or two that indicated that it's actually cheaper to purchase a roundtrip flight to Houston, plus a hotel room in Houston, plus a WS ticket to a game in Houston than it is to purchase a ticket for a WS game in Philadelphia based upon posted prices in the secondary market.
The Phillies were such a difficult team to get behind this season, between their terrible start, and then their agonizing play in September, that fans were hesitant to embrace the team. However, their performance in the playoffs has totally changed the situation. The fans are now back in droves. Consider this: the Eagles are undefeated and currently the #2 team in terms of odds to win the Super Bowl, the Flyers are playing way better than expected to start the season, the Sixers are in the 2nd week of their season (expected to contend for the title, but underperforming so far), and the Union are the top seed in the MLS East and have a big playoff match on Sunday. And Despite the Eagles making a trade today, and the Sixers having a game tonight, as well as Philadelphia being primarily a NFL city (at least for the past decade), if you listened to Philadelphia sports talk radio today, it was 99% Phillies talk. The city and region are crazy about the Phillies right now, and as such, tix at a semi-reasonable price are virtually impossible to find, unless you happen to know a season ticket holder that's willing to part with theirs at cost.
