I mean, yeah on the one hand they weren't even supposed to be here...but now that they are, that Schwarber hot shot in the 8th bouncing directly into Mancini's glove is just inexplicable; like what else do you have to do; he beat the pitcher Pressley in that at-bat and would have tied the game or taken the lead, but alas nothing to show for it?
As Tom said, holding Segura on kept the 1b closer to the line, but still...It isn't even a matter of "well if they played better earlier" or "there were a lot of plays that contributed to the loss"...if that ball goes through on that one play the Phillies are up 3-2 instead of down 3-2...hence the atypical degree of frustration.
