relative to Siposs, i think the Eagles are saying their O is so good, no reason to take a roster spot with a stinkin' punter. Just let MM do the punting, it cant be much worse. Really I'd sign the kid the Bills cut from SDST.

It’s obvious they like someone better than Siposs and plan to sign him

It is surprising (to me) that they cut Siposs without having another punter on the roster.

So what's their plan for the season? Unfortunately, Howie doesn't confide those type of things to me.

In looking at what other teams did in getting down to 53, here are some options:

- Blake Gillikin was waived/released by the Saints. IMHO, the Birds can never have enough former PSU guys on the roster
- Pat O'Donnell was released by the Packers earlier this week. He's 32, and I have no idea how he did in preseason camp
- Thomas Morstead was waived/released by the Jets (reports are that he's expected to re-sign with the Jets)
- Drue Chrisman was waived/released by the Bengals
- Ty Zentner was waived/released by the Texans. But I don't see the Birds having interest in him, as they cut him earlier in training camp

As mentioned Eagles don’t plan on punting this season
Now holder?? They will cut MM who sucked in pre season anyway bring back Koy Detmer to hold and second string QB. Let’s face it, if the Eagles second QB has to play a lot nobody is going to be happy

I'm coming up blank trying to remember a Birds' assistant coach that was more disliked by the fans. Last year, the reports from NFL insiders were that Gannon was really good, but despite the team's success, fans did not care for his D. It didn't help the relationship that fans didn't seem to connect with his statements or his personality.

IMHO, he's in the past, and not worth wasting time over. But little tidbits like the below keep popping up. smh
