It'll be an all-Big Ten final at 174 pounds. Penn State's Carter Starocci will face Nebraska's Mikey Labriola tomorrow night. The Cornhusker beat Mehki Lewis of Virginia Tech 3-1 in tiebreaker just now.

Aaron Brooks is too good for most wrestlers in the world when he’s on. Remarkable performance. Looked legitimately easy. Should’ve been 8-1 and I bet brooks goes for the major if the refs were on it.

184 Semi: #3 seed Aaron Brooks vs. #2 seed Trent Hidlay (North Carolina St.) (I'll use TH)

Haven't we seen this matchup before?

Hidlay always looks so big. But then, AB usually seems smaller than his opponent.

Per 1
Stall warning on AB has TH drove in and AB went backwards off the mat. AB gets a knee and elevates the leg. He shelfs it and then gets the TD, 2-0. OOB with 1:36 left. TH to his feet, and AB basically cuts him, 2-1. TH drives in and AB pancakes him and they go OOB, with a TD for AB, 4-1. 58 sec left. TH to his feet, AB has a leg and the waist. They are on the edge, and OOB with 29 sec left. May actually have been a PD stoppage; not sure. TH sits out but AB stays with hm. TH to his feet, but AB lifts him and trips him back. End. RT @ 1:17 for Brooks

Per 2
Brooks takes bottom. AB works up, and he's out in @ 8 sec, 5-1. 1 min left. Stalemate with 45 sec left. End. RT @ 1:08 for Brooks

Per 3
TH takes bottom. TH works to his feet but AB stays with him and they are OOB with 1:52 left. TH to his base, but Brooks is tough and stays with him, and returns TH. They are on the edge, and OOB with 1:31. Stall call on AB (I think for pushing him out or walking him out -- Byers is wrong, it was the right call), so it's 5-2. TH to his feet and AB cuts him, 5-3. RT is locked for Brooks. 30 sec left. TH with a wild shot, nothing. TH shoots, nothing. End. With 1:49 in RT, it's a 6-3 DEC for Brooks.

Aaron Brooks will wrestle in the final -- PSU's 4th finalist so far in this year's Nationals.

Angel Rivera does not like PSU. How was that stalling on Brooks. Horrible call, yet Hidley backed to the edge of the mat the entire match and not one warning.

it was actually the right call. It doesn't matter who was the aggressor throughout the match. When they put in many of the mandatory stalling calls, it changed things a good bit.

Has an NCAA championship team ever doubled the points of the 2nd place team?

197 pound consolation: Max Dean vs. No. 2 Bernie Truax

First period
Truax FLIES out of the gate for a lightning quick takedown, but Dean is out just as fast. So it's 2-1 before blood time for Truax. Truax shoots on a double, Dean come up over his shoulders, Truax turns in, Dean tries to sit in, but Truax slips behind him for a takedown and a 4-1 lead for Truax. But, Dean is out fast to 4-2. There's 36 seconds left in the first. Truax given stalling warning with 36 seconds left in the period. He was stepping back as Dean pushed ahead. Period ends with Truax up 4-2.

Second period
Dean down. And is out quickly to 4-3. Truax now drops in on an ankle but a scamble ends with a potential dangerous call to stop the action. Dean in on a great shot off the restart and Truax is standing as Dean holds his leg in the air and works for a trip. Dean has Truax leg on his shoulder but can't trip him and they square up and are back standing neutral. Now Truax is in on a single that Dean skips away from. Dean now great single leg shot and he finishes this time for a 5-4 lead at the end of the second period.

Third period
Blood time for Truax before things begin. Now we get going. Truax down to start. Dean gets legs in and has Truax bellied out. The Nittany Lion is now over a minute of riding time. He has 1:13 of it with blood stoppage called with 37 seconds left. They restart and Truax reverses Dean late in the third period by turning in and coming around. Dean has RT. So its 6-6 heading to SV

Sudden victory
Truax gets in on a great shot and finishes it 16 seconds into it.

Truax d. Dean, 8-6

Dean will wrestle for seventh tomorrow.

Last match for PSU, after a long day of matches.

285 Semi: #3 seed Greg Kerkvliet vs. #2 seed Wyatt Hendrickson (Air Force) (I'll use WH)

Hendrickson is the pinning machine, if I recall correctly. I haven't seen him wrestle this year.

Per 1
Kerk gets a single, WH with a whizzer, they scramble, and then WH spins behind. Nice counter by WH, 0-2. Kerk is flat, which is rarely a good sign. Kerk works to a base, then to his feet, and is returned but spins out for the esc, 1-2. Kerk snaps WH's head down, nothing. End. RT @ 59 sec for WH

Per 2
Kerk takes bottom. Kerk works up slowly, and just as it seems he's getting out WH grabs an ankle and returns him. Kerk on his base, and is turning in for a reversal, and he gets it, 3-2. Now WH is flat. Not much happening, but RT is under 1 min. Stall warning on WH. They are on the edge. End. RT # 32 sec for WH

Per 3
WH takes bottom. WH works up to his base, then is back down. WH is flat. RT now in Kerk's favor. Stall call on Ker with 56 sec left. Kerk smart on the restart, and gets the RT over 1 min. Kerk tilts him but only gets 1 swipe from his 2-on-1. RT is locked. End. With 1:27 in RT, it's a 4-2 DEC.

PSU will have 5 in the finals
