@WestSideLion -- due to something else on my schedule, I was only able to watch the first 6 innings, and then listened to the next inning on the radio while driving. I missed the entire Kimbrel disaster in the bottom of the 9th, which was probably good for my health/level of stress.

I heard this play on the radio, but just got a chance to see the video. It's stunning that Turner-Stott-Harper were able to turn the double play. But the bigger stunner is why the DBacks didn't send the runner on 3rd.

I expected Arizona to walk it off vs Kimbrel. It’s too much to ask him to be perfect there.

Ah, it just got a lot more exciting, good if you’re not a Phillies fan. And if the Phillies do pull it out, well, it’ll all be good. Too bad such great pitching was wasted, though, that always sucks to see.

Complete head scratcher, and a basic in base running.

Thought they had another in the 9th when the guy on 2nd didn’t advance to 3rd on the out play at home. Potential for a double play if everyone makes an excellent play, but the advantages (distract SS and or advance) way outweighed it, especially with the catcher needing complete focus to make sure of the out at home. Then Kimbrell walks the next guy to make it a moot point.

Not having Stott bunt with 1st &2nd no outs, not pitching Hoffman another inning, saving Alvarado to pitch vs Kerkering, and lastly, 3 hits.

Early on tonight they look like they're still dead. Picked off, error, passed ball. Maybe the desert air doesn't agree with them.

Why was Sanchez the starter? Walker would have been a better choice. He has set the Dbacks up for another run with another wild pitch.

Saalfrank walks the first three Phillies batters in the top of the 6th. Bases loaded, no outs, with Bohm coming to the plate. Diamondbacks are making a pitching change. Phils need to take advantage of this opportunity.

Bohm with a chopper down the line to 3rd, and a low throw by the 3rd baseman handcuffs the catcher. Schwarber and Turner score. Bohm got thrown out at 2nd (not sure why he ran to 2nd).

4-2, Phils, with Harper at 3rd and 1 out, with Stott at the plate.
