Joe Girardi is available, right?
Seriously, I don’t follow college baseball enough to even throw any names out there. All I know is when PSU wanted to turn around the wrestling team, they ponied up the money and went and hired the best wrestler of all time and look what happened. When they wanted to make the lacrosse program relevant, they went out and got a guy that took a lacrosse blue blood to final fours and a championship game. Since then, they’ve won the B1G, made 2 final fours in the last five years and had the #1 draft pick in the PLL draft. PSU players now make PLL rosters routinely. So, if they want to turn the baseball program around, they are going to have to pony up the cash and make a splash hire. If not….then you get the basketball program. Baseball success will be an uphill challenge. Players want to go where they can play all year and hone their craft. PA is not AZ, FL, or CA in terms of weather. Not even close.
