Hmm. So Perry is a little long in the tooth for a 2025 recruit?

Day 1 of the competition -- I'm going to be pretty much off the board. I have a funeral to attend, and then several meetings. Terrible timing, but these things happe. In short, I won't be able to provide any updates on results. Hopefully, one or more of you will step up and post results, comments about matches, etc.

Sorry for your loss, Tom. I'll do the best I can but it is a whacky day between this and the NFL Draft.

Round of 64 bracket info

Joshua Rodriguez
of the NLWC is No. 8 at 61 kg/134 pounds. He gets a first round bye. Faces Julian Farber of UNI in Round of 32.

Nick Lee is the No. 3 seed at 65 kilograms/143 pounds, while current Lion Beau Bartlett is No. 10 in that weight class. Both have byes into the round of 32 and must wait for a round of 64 match to conclude to learn Round of 32 opponent.

Jason Nolf is the top seed at 74 kilograms, and Vincenzo Joseph is the three seed in that weight class. Both have a bye into the Round of 32 and must wait for a round of 64 match to conclude to learn Round of 32 opponent.

At 79 kilograms, Carter Starocci is the two seed behind favorite and Pa., native Chance Marstellar. Starocci has a bye into the Round of 32 where he'll face Sean Houston of the Backyard Bullies Wrestling Club. I can't find any info on him.

Moving up to 86 kilograms, Mark Hall and Aaron Brooks are the two- and three-seed, respectively, behind two-time NCAA champ and top seed Zahid Valencia. Both have a bye into the Round of 32 and must wait for a round of 64 match to conclude to learn Round of 32 opponent.

Morgan McIntosh is the five seed at 92 kilograms/202 pounds. He faces someone named Ty Freeman from California in the Round of 64. Google suggests it might be this guy: https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/20392-ty-freeman

Ceron Francisco of the NLWC is No. 10 in the 125 kg/275-pound weight class. He faces former Minnesota wrestler and Gopher RTC member Garrett Joles in the Round of 64: https://gophersports.com/sports/wrestling/roster/garrett-joles/15907

I’m very behind on the action, so just combing through results now.

Nolf won 11-0 vs Tyler Wagener in R32
Nick Lee won 10-0 vs Bates in R32
Beau won 10-0 vs Donahue in R32

Looks like Brooks / CStar / Cenzo / Hall / Mcintosh haven’t gone yet.

Non-PSU but PSU Related Verk won both his matches 10-0

Panteleo pinned by a guy I'm not familiar with from Oklahoma. Cenzo with a strong comeback after an ugly and failed throw attempt on Bryce Hepner (who beat Kharchla in the tOSU wrestle off and had 1-2 other notable wins in redshirt this year)
