DVRd both matches and they were fun to watch. Norway’s brain farts killed them and Spain‘s attack was clicking. Each match had an early OG.

If the USA beats Sweden, I believe they'll face Japan in the quarters. And Japan has probably looked the strongest of any team in the pool play, and then looked excellent in their R16 match.

A riveting match which could have gone either way. It came down to PKs. Tough final result for Nigeria.

Columbia - Jamaica could be interesting. Morocco has been one of the surprises, and feel-good stories of this year's WC. I just don't think they have enough firepower to stay with France, but that's why they play the matches.

As I thought when looking at the matchup, France just had too much power for Morocco. The Atlas Lionesses were one of the bigger surprises of the tournament (to me), and kudos to their entire organization for what they put together.

The Columbia purple & yellow kits are my second favorite of the tourney. Germany's green kits were my favorite, but sadly they never wore them.

An entertaining game. Spain scores on a penalty kick in the 80th minute. Netherlands ties it in stoppage time. It goes to extra time, and Spain gets the winning goal in the 111th minute.

It was a fun match to watch. The Dutch made some adjustments and controlled the end of regulation. Had an interesting VAR situation regarding a foul/yellow in the box.

Towards the end of extra time, Beernsteyn?? missed three poorly executed shots, but the winner for Spain was beautiful.

Been doing a little bit of reading on the Spanish situation and the state of their roster after the player revolt. Now I understand why the pundits had them lower than I expected. You would never suspect any turmoil given the way they are playing on the field. They definitely know how to pass.
