Some of the women stood at attention as far as I know and it triggered a certain media to trigger it's folks as it's just that easy. Nobody took a knee, there was no signs on a shirt that I could tell....so what is the real rub? It cracks me up that people can get so easily manipulated by the media.

There is a lot of missing context here, but so be it. Activism is as American as it gets; she's an activist. And has been since - oh, looks like about 2016. Curiouser and curiouser.....my guess is that is when attacks on her community (and proposed laws to further marginalize them) started to get a massive platform and following. It's also when she felt obliged to support other folks feeling the same (like Kaepernick; she was the first major white female athlete to do so). Alex Morgan didn't sing the anthem either. Why no hate for her? Wait, I know...

She didn’t sing, she hates America...kick her out!!! She was protesting.....what? Old men in this country know everything and these women and minorities need to check with them when and how then can protest.

LOL, another patriot who hates American teams when told to. What did Morgan do and what was she protesting? Oddly enough I don't recall seeing you in soccer threads before any of this so basically you're just a **** stain looking to stir the pot and are scared of women speaking up or not singing. You can exit the thread anytime you want there patriot. You guys hate the American ideals for some reason. Maybe you can protest as old white men scared of women?

You keep going on about her even when it was about Morgan. Maybe take it to the old Test board? You guys can cry there about her. OWMAR has a good ring to it. You guys can wear OWMAR shirts and hats. A little man therapy as to how she ruined things for you.

Your correct there is alot of missing context. Rapinone had a platform to do great things like being a role model for young girls, promoting soccer as a sport in the US, and as a member of our National Team promote solidarity within our country. Rather she decided to take a militant, short sighted, victim mentality and spew division within our country. She like many pro athletes is disconnected from reality and has done much more damage with her platform than good. Could not be gladder that she choked her way into obscurity.

The only people who think like you are - people like you who are the vocal minority. Girls still admire her, she's still an accomplished and decorated soccer player, and many, many share her views on equality and inclusion issues.

But, feel free to think otherwise if it provides some comfort.

I am quite comfortable thank you. I have no issue with LBGQT and have given away a relative at a gay wedding. What I don't agree with are those who have a one sided, completely embellished victim mentality and feel they need to trash our country to force their opinions on others.

I am not in the minority and certainly not for holding a disdain and disgust for hate mongers like Megan and other like Kaepernick and the cast of the view. But by all means please go tear down a statue and continue to share a collective brain with whatever the fringe left.
