I didn't see City falling off a cliff and the penalties still may come for them. Chelsea has stepped it up but Liverpool is a step above right now.
They are the team I dislike the most. Pep is a good manager but his SYSTEM is so inflexible. It has evolved a bit from Barca days, but still the same, requires some really special players to win at top level. Hope they are held accountable for financial crap, but suspect they will get off with slap on wrist.

NF has made me a believer. I think this win ties them for 2nd with Arsenal. The Wolves showed some talent in the 2nd half, but they are in some trouble overall, as they are down near the bottom of the standings.

@LionJim -- how about this counter in stoppage time?

Great match going on in Carabao Cup Spurs 1-0 over Liverpool getting near end of match great first Spurs goal by Bergvall. Controversy with a crappy yellow on Bergvall early ( really wasn’t) and then a clear yellow let go by ref on Bergvall.

I came in late to watch and he was already on the ground. Looked to me like he passed out. Flu/norovirus?
The initial reaction by the Spurs players had me thinking of Erikson....like stroke or something cardiac issue related. Maybe it was just a bug as I'm not sure.

A reminder that there are no games this weekend.

As a result, there's a pretty active schedule next week, with 4 games on Tuesday, 4 games on Wednesday, and 2 games on Thursday. Weekend games return next weekend, though with all the weekday games, Saturday's schedule is only 5 games.

Havertz with his annual flop against United for a bogus PK, but this time it didn't bite MU. A man down for 60+ minutes and they win on PK's. 2 weeks in a row United has put in a full match of effort. They were down 2 men as the officiating was abysmal. Take any result for this squad, but signs of life are there in terms of effort.
