Boy Konan is a difference maker…it’s like 45-14 with him in the game. The game was close since he missed most of the first half with foul trouble. Blow out since he came back. PSU up 79-52.
The team without Konan on the floor tonight is what I was fearing we'd see this season...just a gaping hole at the 5. But he's turning out to be such a difference maker, at both ends of the floor.
Lost in the scoring was that it was another really good defensive effort (albeit against a pretty bad opponent)...that game was played at a really fast pace (81 possessions, which is the same as Friday night, and quicker than anything we've played since 2019). We're really playing the style that Rhoades wants...fast and creating lots of turnovers.
Virginia Tech will be a good test. They turn it over a lot, but their strength is offensive rebounding. Need Konan to stay out of foul trouble, and limit those second chance points.
