Where we are ... right now ... is that we lost 5 of the top 7 scorers from a woefully underperforming team. 3 of the 4 recruits from the recruiting class that was supposed to inject us with talent and youth are gone. The remaining 2 contributors are no lock to stay. And we have 1 recruit worth a darn coming in. That's not rock bottom ... but we're teetering. Critical mass to ensure we even retain that 1 recruit has not been reached.
In other words…….“rock bottom”

Glad to see Talor coming back. Now hoping that the two best shooters in the program next season aren't both on the coaching staff.

The fact that he announced that he'll return to us is a really good sign I think. I feel better about his chances of playing for us next year now than I did this morning.

I think he’s definitely got a shot to play in the league because he can shoot the ball a little bit from the outside, but my guess is that he’s not more than a second round pick if at all so hopefully he reads those tea leaves and comes back.

A lot high grades for not having that great of a season. I don’t expect a ton of D’s or even sees, but to give that many A’s out is a little crazy. The writer seem to be more critical of Kern than some of the others and I don’t know how he gave Hicks the grade he did. When Coach said he improved defensively well it wasn’t hard to improve from being an awful defensive player to a mediocre one. Plus, I think a lot of that was just Coach speak to the media. Dunn played pretty well at the end of the season, but where was that the first 20 games? Not deserving of a a minus in my opinion a B yes, but not any higher.

The kid didn't even make 3rd team all BiG. I can't imagine him getting drafted.

Both things can be true…he won’t get drafted this year, and he has a shot to play in the NBA.

But making the All Big Ten teams isn’t a good correlation to draft stock. Bailey and Harper didn’t make it, and they could both be top 3 picks.

All league picks have nothing to do with nba ability
Konan's weakness is that he's not as strong as other top big men in the conference. The big men are even bigger in the NBA. IMO he's got to get much bigger and stronger to get drafted.

have you seen big guys in the NBA now? Konan is 7'0 250 lbs. Evan Mobley (all star) is 6'11, 215. Jaren jackson (all-star) is 6'10, 242. Karl-Anthony Towns (all-star) is 7'0, 248. Victor Wembanyana (all-star) is 7'3 and 235. Alperen Sengun (all-star) is 6'11, 243. The game is about big guys who can move and shoot. He is not as athletic as most of them and not quite the shooter but he wont not make it because he is not big or strong enough

I’m not one to get nervous about our recruiting…but things are becoming pretty concerning around next season.

How many guys are actually on the team right now? Seriously, if we had a game tomorrow, who would we put on the floor?

This will send shockwaves thru out the Big 10!!!
He fits into the category of the one year stop-gap guys that we might need to take that can raise our floor from 12-20 (3-17) to 15-17 (5-15) next season. But he'll be one and done, so better than an open ship at this point.

Well, if I was a Big Ten HC, I would not be canceling my tee times for the next week so that I can watch UC game film!
