Shame about the tough loss to Quinnipiac, but I liked the fact that they went toe-to-toe with a perennial power.

Now, another thing: Does anyone know what's going on with the home game start times? None are listed yet on gopsusports, and only courtesy of the above tweet do we know any start times. Next weekend's games don't have start times yet. I do understand that they typically wait on Saturday game times due to football. But how is it middle of October and we have all the road start times but only the last two home game start times?

Thank you, Tom. I did see some times earlier, and now the game themes as well. Better late than never I suppose. I asked for the whiteout game in a phone call weeks ago. I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't announce the themes before the single game sale?

Three goals were scored in the first 3:30, and then a long quiet stretch. Lions had several good chances early in second but didn’t pot the equalizer until less than 20 seconds remained in second period. Guy’s guys have momentum heading into third, so I hope they finish this off.

Peters gets first goal as a Lion 90 seconds in.
Now six minutes to go, still 3-2 good guys.

Major penalty on St. Lawrence. Lions have PP the rest of the way. 4:30 to go.

Lions get the W

Two PP chances and nothing to show for it, but then Jared Crespo pots a shorty late in the first. 1-0 Lions!

The post unkind to PSU goalie Sergeev. Saints tie it up.

Aiden Fink pushes a PP goal into the net. 2-1 Lions.

Charlie Cerrato puts the biscuit in the basket!
3-1 Guy’s guys.

How sweep it is! Final!

Bigboy hockey this weekend! Both teams with only one loss. Penn State by far the best team we've played this season. Should be some great hockey.
Liked a lot of what I saw this weekend vs St. Lawrence. That said, the PSU defense still suffers some mindblowing turnovers deep in their own zone. New goalie looked very good except for the first two minutes of Friday's game.

Do you think your Gophers will start Souliere for a game this weekend?

Great question. I think that they will. He played on Saturday. Not sure if he started because I got back late from the football game vs Maryland. From what I saw, he made some decent saves.

With that said, we seem to be able to score, but are vulnerable to odd man rushes and turnovers in the neutral zone as well as deep in our own zone. We don't have a very good power play team offensively, and just okay defensively. I hope that our offense continues to shine, because we are still a little suspect on defense.

That and I don't know if our lines are settled yet. The plus side for the Gophers is all four lines are potentially dangerous offensively. Won't be surprised if we see 4-3 type games, since I've come to expect Penn State teams to be able to score. Of course I want us to win this series, but with the way the defense looks, I'd be okay with a split.
