PSU goes 29-6 on the tournament, with 2 being to Carter Starocci
3 of those loses were to #1 seeds, and 1 to a #2 seed

Beau's lost in the final to Mendez was the only loss PSU had all tournament to a lower seeded wrestler.
That’s impressive to say the least.
I tell myself every year I need to get to a match at Rec Hall some day. My sports want to list (along with a women’s VB match).

It was absolutely intentional. I get why but was funny since he looked eerily similar to Lewan for the majority of the match.
Man.-besides Aaron and Kerk-who are just so much better than the competition, sure impressed by Davis and of course Mesenbrink.Davis is one tough guy who does not back down. And what else can you say about Mesenbrink. What a nonstop motor who dominated the third period. Love to watch him wrestle. Who the heck will beat him. And Haines-just turns it on when it matters. Great to see our guys come back for third place wins. What a team.
The crazy thing is Michigan had a great tournament. The score Michigan puts up wins the Big Ten most years and PSU beats them by 47!!!

Seems really weird to have him pumping his own product...the target audience would have to be 50+. Cringe.
It is terrific to win. It is even better to see the whole team wrestle great. We lost 4 matches, 3 to #1 seeds, one in SV and the other 3 late in the 3rd. We wrestled smart and relentlessly.
We have wrestled some really rough BTT's and still wrestled great at nationals. This team could be........yikes.

None of the guys want to hold the trophy. Kerk comes out and says it doesn’t matter. What matters is his faith. What a team!!
I0wa (note the 0 in place of the o - they "earned" the 0 during this year's football season) fans salty about placing fourth. They think the gap would've been closer if their Gamblers NotAnonymous wrestlers had been available. Maybe - maybe not.
