Is that the Penn State record or the all time record?PSU with 170.5 points to win the team title. That destroys their previous record for points at the B1G Tourney
2. Michigan - 123.5
3. Nebraska - 118
4. Iowa - 110.5
5. Ohio State - 89
6. Rutgers - 87.5
7. Minnesota - 74
8. Wisconsin - 46.5
9. Purdue - 41.5
10. Maryland - 39
11. Illinois - 34
12. Indiana - 33
13. MSU - 23.5
14. Northwestern - 14.5
No, this would be like beating Alabama 48-7.If this was on the football board, some would be yelling for Franklin to be fired at 9-2.
Try telling that to the Debbie Downers on the football board. No, this would be like beating Alabama 48-7.
PSU. Iowa scored over 200 once in the past.Is that the Penn State record or the all time record?
I0wa (note the 0 in place of the o - they "earned" the 0 during this year's football season) fans salty about placing fourth. They think the gap would've been closer if their Gamblers NotAnonymous wrestlers had been available. Maybe - maybe not.
And they call I0wa wrestling - not taking shots, lots of hand fighting - "Michigan style." The irony is delicious.
If Starocci & SVN were healthy we’d have threatened that.PSU. Iowa scored over 200 once in the past.
I just checked the hawkeye report wrestling forum on On3, and the last post is from Friday.

Maybe. But, Kasak scored 16.5 team points. More than Nagao and Bartlett and equal to Bernie (and Austin Gomez for that matter). Not too shabby. If Starocci & SVN were healthy we’d have threatened that.

They are thoroughbreds, for sure. Plus, the crazy amount of talent coming in the next two recruiting classes is endless.Plus, Davis/Kasak/Messenbrink are just great stories in and of themselves. Anticipating years of wrestling happiness with guys like them coming on.
Yep. Keegan O’Toole just beat David Carr to win their conference.Mitch looks like he will be the 2 seed
So, provided Mitch wrestles the way we expect, he would most likely meet Carr in the semis. That assumes Carr gets the 3 seed.Yep. Keegan O’Toole just beat David Carr to win their conference.
Don’t drag me into this.Sent slowpoke packing.
Julian Ramirez (Cornell) was ranked higher than both Mitchell & Hamiti. So, provided Mitch wrestles the way we expect, he would most likely meet Carr in the semis. That assumes Carr gets the 3 seed.
You think he gets the 3?Julian Ramirez (Cornell) was ranked higher than both Mitchell & Hamiti.
The crazy thing is Michigan had a great tournament. The score Michigan puts up wins the Big Ten most years and PSU beats them by 47!!!
1) KeeganYou think he gets the 3?
They had said going into the final that Hamiti and Mitch were 4 and 5. That shocked the heck out of me .1) Keegan
2) Mitch
3) Ramirez
4) Carr
IMO Keegan and Carr are locked in and the only question is Mitch the 2 or 3 and with Hamiti probably at 5 it shouldn't matter much which he gets.
We may stop on way back if we canExcellent. Stop in for breakfast
Michigan had a great Saturday but crapped the bed on Sunday...I concur that Michigan had an excellent tournament.
The other part of your statement I don't agree with. Michigan scored 123.5 points this tournament. From 2011 on, PSU has scored more than 123.5 points in every year but 2 (2020 and 2015). In 2020, Iowa scored 157.5 points to win the B1G Tourney. In 2015, Iowa and Ohio State tied for 1st place, with a score of 120. So in the past 14 B1G Tourneys, Michigan's score of 123.5 would have only won the B1G Tourney in 2015.
I didn’t think they were scoring much in session 4 and didn’t watch much of 3. Their heavy would have 2 of the 5 wins. Tough way to finishMan, did Michigan crap the bed or what? 0-4 in the finals and 5-9 overall on the last day.
I believe Carr lost to Ramirez from Cornell! That could push him to the 4 seed with Ramirez getting the 2 or 3 seed. Keegan O'Toole , Mitch Mesenbrink, Julian Ramirez , David Carr, and Dean Hamiti. Just a though.....................So, provided Mitch wrestles the way we expect, he would most likely meet Carr in the semis. That assumes Carr gets the 3 seed.
That's the thinking from Christian Pyles at Flo...though I am having a hard time seeing Ramirez beating Mitchell.I believe Carr lost to Ramirez from Cornell! That could push him to the 4 seed with Ramirez getting the 3 seed. Just a thought.
