Wow, this one I did not see happening. I figured they'd bring Lovato bring for another season.

Jake has a problem with snapper? Who woulda thought??
He could the holder might have more but if the snap is off and the holder overcorrects the kick is off , he gets blamed. That said I think he was hurt plus I guess this guy is cheaper

Covvey is one of my favorites. I hope he comes back.
still waiting on Becton

I like Covey as well, though his injuries last season were somewhat frustrating.

When it came out earlier this week that the Birds did not tender Covey, who was a restricted FA, I kind of questioned if he would return. From a financial perspective that made sense, as the minimum tender would have been @ $3.26M. But it seemed to indicate that the Birds were prepared to let him walk without getting anything in return. (You could argue that not tendering him was nothing more than trying to get him back for a lower rate, but a tender would have meant they either retained him or received a compensatory draft pick if he signed elsewhere.)

It’s Marcus Hayes, but an interesting angle. CJ did get beat a fair amount last season. The Atlanta and Carolina (lucky drop) games come to mind.

I think I’d rather have Becton then a draft pick who’s ability is unknown. I hope Skeen gets stronger
What about Jalen Carter in a few years? It feels like this is all to get their house in order to keep guys like Carter (who will get $45M AAV), Jurgens, Nolan Smith and others in the next few years.

I get it but there’s always the credit cards of hurts AJ lane Johnson etc.
I ll let Howie work that. Just hope the plan of Skeens works. The guy from Houston shouldn’t make our practice squad
And I think that tells you how bad they wanted CJGJ gone

Class guy. I wish they’d have kept him but they clearly believe RG is interchangeable. Best of luck to the guy in LA.

there had been speculation that Ojulari was a player that Howie might target (combo of injuries, underperforming, high draft pick, etc.)

Sounds like Brandon Graham is retiring at noon today. The team announced a vague press conference to discuss his career.

Godspeed to him. He’s an Eagles all-time great and a warrior. I hope they keep him involved with the team.
