3 of the top 6 draft picks are from France.

No players from last season's MSU team were drafted.

Quinten Post was drafted.

About as boring an NBA draft as I can Remember in my lifetime
I've been a college basketball nerd and watch all sorts of conferences and teams for more than a quarter century, and I could have confidently named the school of not even half the drafted college players. A good bit less than half.

Total lack of excitement. No Durant v Oden. No Zion type hype. Nothing close to any of that.

Oh, no doubt there will be someone who becomes a superstar out of nowhere, but I have never seen a draft where there was literally no one that anybody was really excited about
A safe bet is always the kids from Kentucky, but I’m still in wait and see mode with Sheppard. In all seriousness, when was the last time that a 6’1” white kid went #3 in the draft? 1955?

White Chocolate went #7 in 1998. Pistol Pete went 3rd in 1970, but he was 6’5”. That’s all I’ve got.

as a short white dude I am deeply offended by your suggestion that I am not a baller.

I think he is 6'2 without shoes and over 6'3 with shoes, for what thats worth.

Anyways, last year a 6'3 player was taken 3rd, but not white so I guess that doesnt apply.
Morant was taken 2nd in 2019 at 6'2.
Garland was taken 5th in 2019 at 6'1.
Trey Young was 5th in 2018 at 6'1.
DAngelo Russell was 2nd in 2015 at 6'3.
Damian Lillard was taken 6th in 2012 at 6'2.

Yeah, its rare for someone 6'2 or shorter to be drafted in the top 5.
Sheppard's recorded 42" vertical at the Combine probably helped prove his athleticism, which I would guess helped a bit.
Still, pretty weak and unanticipated draft.
