Track has the 1st 3 matches on the 8 mats. Davis isn't listed, as he has to wait for winner of the piglet match to have the required break time. And Nagao isn't listed, as the piglets and 125 take up all of the 3-deep assignments on the 8 mats.
Nagao is match #40 is so it will be a few minutes

Funny gronky- I never binge ate in my life except after cutting weight in high school wrestling. I would obsess on food while cutting weight and gain several pounds in the 24 hours after matches. I hope wrestlers now lose weight much more scientifically than I did in the 1960s. Fortunately, after wrestling season was over I could go back to regular eating.
Couldn't agree more! I remember in high school watching wrestlers running around the school in full sweat suits & wrapped up in black hefty bags to keep in the heat while spitting into cups. Not sure how safe that was???

Very unsafe, and now illegal

Lujan of MSU is up 4-1 in the second. So far it's looking like that is who Davis will have. Bates of NU up 4-0 at the end of two so AB will likely have him. Wilcox from tOSU is up 7-1 in the second so Levi is looking like he's heading towards him.

In these early bouts, I wouldn't be upset if Byers did not try to cover them. I need to mow my lawn, and Jeff keeps drawing me into his coverage.

@GregPickel @Tom McAndrew, if you have done this somewhere else I am sorry I didn’t read it. How many Individual championships do we get? All Americans?

and do we break the team scoring record? I think Greg predicted 5 champs and 10 AAs. I don’t know if he made a prediction on team points.

Wow, Bouzakis is getting worked by Brown from Maryland. Down 3-0 but getting ridden very hard with a boot in from Brown.

EDIT - Nevermind, reversal Bouzakis.

Julian Chlebove up now on mat 5. I thought he would be an elite college guy but we haven't heard from him in a few years it feels like. He is the 24 seed.

That surprised me too when I saw him. Remember watching him in high school and thought he'd be a stud at the college level too.

Pre-tournament predictions are here. Sorry I don't have time to copy and paste them here at the moment but if you click through they are all there: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-stat...ny-champs-all-americans-will-penn-state-have/

I did not make a team points prediction but I will go on record as saying I don't think they'll break it this year.

I looked up his bio from the ASU site. We all know he was a 3x PIAA champ and it looks like this is his first NCAA tournament as a RSJR. Very surprising.

Kurt Phipps form Bucknell is about to win. Even though I had some real battles with kids from Norwin growing up it's good to see a kid from Norwin doing well at the tournament. They have always had a strong program at Norwin.

Vito does not look like he is hurt which is great. He looked fine at the end of the EIWA final to be honest.
