I’d rather they got in and the Snakes got run over.Stick a fork in the Braves. They're cooked!
Preach!Hope for a good Nola on the mount today.
Yeah. I can only handle so much bullpen anxiety at once and Alvarado has a monopoly right now!@WestSideLion, aren't you glad to not be worrying about him headed into the playoffs?
Me too but the Braves have no middle relief. I'm happy to see the Snakes Jake McArthy doing well as he's played HS in my neck of the woods.I’d rather they got in and the Snakes got run over.
Doubtful. Sportsbooks are very tuned into fixing. They can pick up on betting patterns to spot foul play - kind of like catching card counters. Fixing games is very much not in the Sportsbooks interest. If people are going to fix games, it's more likely to happen in events that aren't getting a lot of attention. I'll let @Erial_Lion weigh in.I fully believe betting is influencing calls in games in the field and behind the plate. Friggin ridiculous not being overturned and Phillies should really ***** about this.
It’s still very possible to have people in on a fix, but legalizing things have made it exponentially easier to catch. People think that DraftKings (and their competitors) gaining market share is a bad thing, while in fact they’re the ones equipped to catch this stuff. Bet it offshore or with a corner bookie and you can get away with it much more easily.Doubtful. Sportsbooks are very tuned into fixing. I think the issue with this particular play was that even the video review showed he wasn’t tagged yet the upheld the incorrect call made on the field. Umps have no accountability. It’s still very possible to have people in on a fix, but legalizing things have made it exponentially easier to catch. However, the odds of an MLB ump trying to fix stuff is incredibly low, since they’re making more in salary than the edge that they’d gain. Would the second base ump really “fix” the game when there is video review and it’s takes an incredibly close play to be able to potentially impact this one call in the game? It’s just not logical.
Personally, I think that's a really tough one. I see potential tag on the right hand almost simultaneously (maybe even just before) as the runner gets to the base. Can't tell from either angle if he definitely got him. I can easily see why they didn't overturn it. I think he was most likely safe, but the standard to overturn is higher than that.I think the issue with this particular play was that even the video review showed he wasn’t tagged yet the upheld the incorrect call made on the field.
