A surprise to me, in that I hadn't seem his name associated with the Fightins. If I recall correctly, he's had some injury issues toward the end of the season in 2 of the last 3 seasons.

I like the trade. Sucks to give up promising prospects but it's what you have to do sometimes. Plus, if Caba develops, he's still three years away. It's what the Phils needed to do if they want a WC title while the current roster is still productive. Those pieces won't last forever.

But please, don't deal Miller or Crawford.

This is a great trade. I love this move. Luzardo as your No. 4 potentially? Maybe 3? I love this move. Caba has to prove he can hit, but more importantly, his position is blocked with Aidan Miller, Trea Turner, etc. Love this move.

This is a head scratcher. Closer has been an issue forever. Dombrowski traded two prospects for Estevez last year only to let him walk for nothing. Maybe they didn’t like what they saw with Estevez, but why make the trade in the first place? In hindsight, the trade just looks like a “spray and pray” approach.
