No Bama and no LSU, that it looks better than most years have:
We're about to play both of them every other year. This is the third time we’ve played Georgia in five years. We’ve played Missouri twice since they joined the SEC.
Don’t worry. They, of course, get Missouri at home and Vandy on the road.Alabama’s response…
And no Auburn...for you youngsters at one time it was Alabama, Auburn, LSU and OM...called the November Nightmare. This is a relief. No Bama and no LSU, that it looks better than most years have:
I think it’s pretty clear the SEC wanted to give the 2 new teams a marque home game with Bama at Oklahoma & Georgia at Texas. Our schedule is OK. Not good, but not too bad either. First time in over 70 years to not play Bama, Auburn or LSU.For those who argued that the SEC Office would give Saban whatever he wanted, Bama got one of the most difficult draws. I believe he may want to consider retirement prior to 2024.
Would love to trade switch Tenn and Arky. Arky is very winnable at their place. And Tenn would switch to a toss up in Stark. And we’d have a damn atmosphere. That home schedule is bad from an attendance and Starkville economy standpoint.
Plus we’re @Tempe that season. Throw in 3 terrible non-conf opponents, and that could be the lowest attendance average we’ve had in many moons. None of those opposing fan bases will sell out their allotment.
We are Alabama's most common SEC opponent. LSU and Alabama rank as our 2-3rd most common SEC opponent. Times are a changing.Last time Bama wasn’t on the schedule was 1943. We’re living in historic times.
...and hopefully for the better...good riddance to bothWe are Alabama's most common SEC opponent. LSU and Alabama rank as our 2-3rd most common SEC opponent. Times are a changing.
Oops. I should have said ‘in the regular season’ since they’re pretty likely to be our opponent in Atlanta after we wreck Georgia’s dreams.***We are Alabama's most common SEC opponent. LSU and Alabama rank as our 2-3rd most common SEC opponent. Times are a changing.
