2024 U-20 Pan-Am Championships thread

The 2024 U-20 Pan-American Championships in wrestling are next on the schedule. They will take place on July 11, 12, & 13, and are being staged in Lima, Peru.

7-11 is GR
7-12 is Women's
7-13 is men's FS

(I believe they also have beach wrestling on 7-14; not certain.)

4 PSUers/PSU commits are on the USA team:

- Luke Lilledahl, 57 Kg
- PJ Duke, 70 Kg
- Zack Ryder, 79 Kg
- Connor Mirasola, 92 Kg

Lilleadahl, Ryder, and Mirasola are part of the incoming freshmen class. PJ Duke still has another year of HS to complete before he can join the PSU squad.

Please use this thread to discuss to discuss the participants, the seeds, the competition, etc.

Also, a heads up that I've got something else to attend for a good chunk of 7/13, so I'll have the misfortune of missing most of the men's FS, and as such won't be able to provide any updates for most of that day.

Penn State wrestling will be well represented at this year's U20 Pan-American Championships, which are on Saturday in Lima, Peru.

They did things a bit different at this weight class. There wrestlers were broken into two groups. The semis were Group A #1 vs. Group B #2 and Group A #2 vs. Group B #1. UWW's web site doesn't list the scores for the Group competitions -- just who won and then how each group finished in terms of standings.

Group A: Mirasola finished 1st, after wrestling the 3 others in the group

Semis: 11-0 by VSU @ 2:47 over Arsagov (Canada)
Final: 10-0 by VSU @ 1:55 over Ruiz (Venezuela)
