Laramie is a sweet little college town. Was there last September for three days. Friendly folk.
Special Note for Buffalo Trace Bourbon Drinkers. I went in a Liquor Store in Laramie and asked them if they carried any BT products and the clerk said they did. I asked which ones and he said he had them all. He did, and the prices were about as low as I have seen them. I walked out of there with a box.

You need to wear something unique and let us know beforehand so we can recognize you there with all the other high rollers!I have had season tix for Drexel for several years since my wife is an alum, but the inclusion of the PSU match increased the price about 50%. Not a complaint, just an observation. Excited to see the dual from my front row seats

I think we wrestled them at the National Duals once, but have we ever wrestled Northern Iowa in a regular dual?
PSU last faced UNI in the Collegiate Duals, on Dec. 20, 2021.
PSU is 5-0, all-time, against UNI.
PSU's previous meeting against UNI was in the Virginia Duals, on Jan. 17, 2004.
The meeting before that MAY (I can't tell) have been a regular dual between the two schools. PSU visited UNI on Jan. 2, 1998. I certainly don't remember any details about that match, and can't find anything online indicating whether or not it was part of a larger competition.
The two teams also met on Jan. 9, 1987, and on Jan. 4, 1986.
It appears that it was a dual at Cedar Falls, which we won 34-9. And I think the reason why none of us can remember any details is that was the night before we beat the Squawkeyes in Carver 25-17 and we had a few wrestlers arrested for getting into a scuffle at an Iowa City bar afterwards. Iowa got their payback a few days later when they hosted the National Duals.

Penn State wrestling will host a Big 12 school this winter but it’s not the one you might be thinking about.
Stanford Wrestling posted on twitter an away/neutral match versus Penn State.

Possible return trip next year? Could throw another California team for a weekend trip.
Hopefully something closer to Anaheim. Sammy Sanchez could go 6 hrs to Palo Alto to see his (hopefully) future teammates, but why not make it more convenient for him?
Collegiate Duals is famously structured to have two pools of teams which do not dual each other--no crossover duals between pools.
There are some coaches out there who I could see massaging the truth in an announcement like this, to collect bang for PSU's buck, by listing PSU on their schedule like this--even if they were not currently scheduled in the same pool, and, as such, not at all going to face each other.
I say all that to suggest that Stanford Coach of Trees, Chris Ayres is not such a person. I'll be very surprised if when Frank Pop publishes the Collegiate Duals pools & schedule, that PSU & Stanford are not dualing each other.
Deducing that Utah Valley & North Dakota State as the other two schools in our pool.
There's a certain buzz developing genius to make us search other school's schedules to find pieces of Penn State's.

The B10 schedule and the BJC availability always seem to dictate our schedule.

Of course, toss out the ACC teams: UNC, UVA, VT.
They had a home dual against Utah Valley last season.
They did not wrestle OkST, CBU or ND State.
I missed that Stanford wrestled Utah Valley last year. I can't find it now, but I thought I saw in an OkSt source that Stanford was coming to Stillwater. I shall change my prognostication to CBU & NDSU.
One thing PSU and Iowa fans have in common is the annual offseason detective work to piece together the schedule using other school's announcements.
Nothing official that I've seen, but:
As posted above, Stanford's schedule and a twitter reply from journeymen confirms PSU is in vs Stanford. Also tells us at least 1 more team from Stanford's list will be in the pool as well.
Typically, there's 4 teams in each pool. But not sure if that's the case this year. Little Rock's schedule lists only two teams, Ohio State and Cornell, in Nashville on Dec 21st.
Maybe there will be crossover between the pools, or perhaps just two duals this time.

For what it’s worth, and not that it has anything to do with Air Force but as it relates to schedule hunting, the MAC released men’s and women’s basketball schedules today, which makes me think their wrestling schedules should be coming out before long.
Wyoming is locked in. Penn State will be there Dec. 13.
