That's not the given everybody thought it was a month ago.Elam going to Iowa makes Iowa lineup really strong.
Last week Elam's brother joined SKWC (aka Rutger Fight Club).

If Gilman moves, does RBY too.
Who knows ... but his fiance is in KC and that's a 4.5 hr drive from Stilly. If Gilman moves, does RBY too.
I forgot who Gilman's wife is ... perhaps Mike Evans' sister was not impressed.Probably a combination of things. His wife is from PA, and that was no small part of why he moved to PSU the first time.
Some smoke about he and Taylor not always seeing eye to eye as coaches, not sure how reliable that is.
Ultimately it would force Taylor to hire a new assistant AND deprive his lightweights of a world champ-level training partner.
Pinto in the portal- Rutgers or Iowa?
From NEPA, maybe he wants to wrestle his last year closer to home? Why would he transfer?

Nebraska wrestling is a far better program than Rutgers. It’s a major step down in training. From NEPA, maybe he wants to wrestle his last year closer to home?
Damn Jeffy, you are really digging deep into the past for that crack...I forgot who Gilman's wife is ... perhaps Mike Evans' sister was not impressed.

Maybe Manning pulled his NIL or schollie? He is the only NCAA qualifier that didn’t AA for Nebraska. Perhaps they have someone else in the wings or maybe he just wants to wrestle closer to home and may already have his degree. Why would he transfer?
The most likely of these are being closer to home and (possibly) already graduating. Pulling his money is unlikely, and their next man up at 174 (LJ Arujau) is talented but probably needs another year, almost certainly will be a step down from Pinto in 2026.Maybe Manning pulled his NIL or schollie? Looks like the judge tried to thread the needle, and set a limit of 30 while grandfathering in those already on the roster. Until we get the written ruling, it seems like the true roster cap will vary by team today, but reduce toward 30 with graduations and outgoing transfers.Question about the portal and roster numbers. Isn’t it true that your wrestling roster has to be at 30 for next season? If so, Oklahoma State between the portal, recruiting and current roster is about 15 wrestlers over the allotment. That’s a lot of cutting they will need to do. Is 30 wrestlers per college roster correct for next year? Thanks.
That’s a fair approach. Why hurt those already invested in the team and put unnecessary pressure on them? This gives people time to find a new home while allowing numbers to naturally reduce to 30. I also went to sleep right before that match..SIAP(-like).
Went to bed just before the final match at NCAAs, the guy who Everyone outside of wrestling Loves (Steveson) versus 'second coming of Captain America’, the OKSt transfer from Air Force. I like Hendrickson, but no way he’s beating Mr. Wonderful. I’m in bed, almost out and I hear hollering and yelling from the family room. No big deal, I’ve gone to bed, the guys are busting me that I quit early (I’ve done this before and so have they). So, the brother in law comes into my room and says ‘Hey - Hendrickson just upset Steveson’! Riiight, sure. 'No, seriouosly’! Good night. The commotion goes on and I figure that I better go out and check what happened. IT HAPPENED! Hendrickson upsets greatest wrestler ever (HA!)
Fast forward, I see that Ono is coming! Welsh wants to come to PSU. Great! Ryder says he’s out. (bummer). Today I read that Thomas Gilman is out at OKSt, possibly returning to NLWC!?! AJ Ferarri signs with UNC - and over on HR slumlord Bob endorses the move all-round.
What an offseason. I LOVE this sport.
