Saw the USC DL Bear Alexander, who 'opted out' after three games this year, is on the move again. He went to three or four different HS's and is on his third or fourth college. You are a sucker if you take this guy.
He's planning to visit unless something changes...
The BWI board? He's planning to visit unless something changes...
Another player that PSU offered when he was in HS
Two things:
1. I’m going to be on this thread like a monkey on crack.
2. We should assume that the first priority for these in-portal players is NIL money.
And take them to The Phyrst to meet babes! All Franklin has to do is show these kids the library and feed them Creamery ice cream.
Indeed, and we should sign his brother, turbo tuggle.Let‘s get him for the name alone.
I assume this is former Falcons LB Jesse Tuggle’s son?Let‘s get him for the name alone.
Let‘s get him for the name alone.
The check cleared, I guess?Alas, word seems to be that Nitro is staying with Georgia
I agree.Let‘s get him for the name alone.
I have no idea what Congress could do. “College quarterbacks making more than NFL quarterbacks” might indeed be a thing in the future but that’s Capitalism 101. “Congress intervenes to keep private citizens from maximizing their earning potential” doesn’t seem to be a thing to me.I cannot imagine where this is all going in the near future. It's becoming clear that Congress will have to step in since the NCAA and the member institutions and their conferences are either powerless or unable to gain consensus on guardrails. The growing talk about Private Equity (see "Mark Lasry") actually buying football programs is a whole new paradigm in money procurement and payment. We are not far from college QB contracts far exceeding those in the NFL, save the few for the elite players like Burrow and Mahomes. We are also not far from a large majority of Power conference players declaring their "free agency" after each season, in essence playing on one year contracts until their eligibility is exhausted.
The only solution is Congress, where the will of the Courts and those who would challenge the status quo will be brought to heel. Not optimal but I don't see another way.
Sorry to hijack the thread but thumbing through these announcements is thought provoking.
Oh yes, let's let Congress in on this.I cannot imagine where this is all going in the near future. PSU showing interest
"I'm from the government and I'm here to help."Oh yes, let's let Congress in on this.
