'24 Super 32 (10/12 - 13) thread

the 2024 Super 32 is taking place this weekend.

PSU verbals Nate Desmond, Dalton Perry, and Asher Cunningham are participating in the event. There are others participating that PSU is recruiting.

Edit: I should add that each year, Super 32 is what really starts to focus my mind on the upcoming wrestling season. The official high school season is still 1 1/2 months away, but Super 32 gets me thinking about whether I need to replace any reffing gear, thinking about the rule changes, etc.

Alas, I'm traveling this weekend, so I won't be able to provide much in the way of coverage.

Tournament is underway. Desmond with a pair of MD wins. Perry and Cunningham have yet to wrestle.

This is a massive tournament, with many weights having a "Round of 256" -- so it'll be a while until most guys face a real challenge ...

Just don't tell Faith Christian's Joey Bachmann that -- the #1 seed at 120 barely scraped by his opener 6-4 on a reversal with 11 sec left in the 3rd. (He then teched his next 2 opponents, go figure.)

Haven't heard a time yet. They could not start before 2:30 p.m. ET but obviously we are beyond that and there are still other matches on the mat.
