The change has been palpable for 8 years or so.I encourage folks to watch that J’den Cox interview someone posted here. He opened up by talking about how as a nation of wrestlers, the focus has been shifting to “having fun,” and spoke of how much he is learning from Cael and Casey (among others). A lot of gratitude talk too. Bit by bit, “Gable Tough” is molting its way off, and Cael Enthusiasm is emerging as the national standard. You love to see it.
The whole entire concept of F@#( Iowa is fun all by itself. To be Iowa right now must really suck. If they weren't so arrogant, I'd almost feel bad for them. Nah, F Iowa.
Maybe he thinks most will transfer to the HWC. As they don’t participate in international events, this could be the reason.Willie question
Despite the obvious, it has to end sometime, what makes you say that with such obvious certainty.
Don't forget Audrey JimenezLeydecker is a beast! Between her, Morgan Turner, Taina Fernandez, and Jasmine Robinson the women’s program looks to be in good hands. Those 4 girls should make senior teams before too long
She’s already on the senior team so I didn’t include her but you are 100% correct. She is incredible as wellDon't forget Audrey Jimenez
And Leydecker is still a month shy of turning 18!Leydecker is a beast! Between her, Morgan Turner, Taina Fernandez, and Jasmine Robinson the women’s program looks to be in good hands. Those 4 girls should make senior teams before too long
@zzs006 check out the 2:53 mark in the video for a good look at the technique Marcus uses on his gut.The stuff about him and Ono is awesome. In one of his interviews he said his gut wrench that he has been turning everyone with is a gut that Ono taught him. Ono turned everyone at U20’s and seniors with it so to then teach it to Blaze and watch the success he had with it was really f’ing cool. Blaze had been decent in par tarre but this tournament he was out of this world. I can’t wait to see how good Marcus and Ono become once they are in the room battling and learning from each other everyday.
I hope that Ono can learn and implement folkstyle moves as quickly and smoothly as Blaze did free.@zzs006 check out the 2:53 mark in the video for a good look at the technique Marcus uses on his gut.

You have to love that in only a couple of weeks, Marcus has adopted some elements of Ono's gut, to great effect. There are no secrets in our room, only mutual respect. You talk about a recruiting pitch....!I think my favorite part of U20s is the way Blaze has been talking about Ono. What an opportunity for a kid to room with a guy who might be the #1 P4P wrestler in the world. I can't wait to see what Blaze does once the season starts as he's getting coached up, the Lehigh dual is going to be bonkers.
I selfishly agree with you : ) Six champions for Team USA? Inconceivable!I selfishly wish that Lilledahl would have done U20’s this year. No one in this years field would have challenged him. Breaking the 200 point barrier for team scores would’ve been quite the accomplishment as well which this team would've done if Luke was on it
I wonder if she is related to MMMA fighter Michael Chiesa? So, local to me is a young lady named Sierra Chiesa. I’ve been watching her compete since PJWs and she’s an absolute hammer. She’s the first and only girl to win 100 matches against boys in PIAA history and she’s the only female wrestler to ever make it to the PIAA boys state championships.
If she is, it’s not immediate family. She has 2 brothers, Josh and Ian. I coached against both of them.I wonder if she is related to MMMA fighter Michael Chiesa?
