RG forgot to pull and went the wrong way opening a gap for the LB to be free. These guys are clueless in run blocking assignments.

I saw an on3 article the other day on Arnette talking about he’s not worried about people stealing his signs because it would be to hard to read, interpret, decide, adjust, and make your own playcall in time for the snap.

I propose that we make the signs at least easy enough for our own guys to read and know what to do in time for the snap.

That was actually blocked pretty well on the left side and would’ve been an easy first down to put the game away if anybody had picked up the linebacker.

This is what happens when you have one coach coaching interior OL (Guards and Center) and another coach coaching OT’s and TE’s.

I brought that up when Arnett hired two OL coaches and somebody on this board assured me that was common practice. The line should work as one unit. In unison

Jackie tried it one year and it was a disaster. The play was probably called in the huddle on the sideline and the direction of the play was probably called at the Line. The QB and RB was on same page but the OL was not. On these type of situations I would prefer a direct snap to the RB.

What we have are results.

We have a first year HC, a first year DC, and an OC who has only 1 year in the system he is using.

What we see on the field are the results of the madness above. What we see in recruiting is a result of this staff's results.

How many other teams in the Power 5 would hire an OC who has only 1 year in the system they are hiring him to run? Nobody. We are acting like a G5 program and getting the results.
Vandy is about .02 pts. in recruiting rankings below us. That's basically tied. Can't ever remember us being that low on the totem pole. Every other SEC team is significantly above us.

NO ONE except Cole blocked.
The LG tried, he just couldn’t get out of his own way.
The rest of them should have had to do somersaults down the practice field on Monday afternoon.
Total lazy *** effort on a critical play!!

There's only one thing that a football player has complete control over as he plays the game . . . his level of effort.

Watch #66 and #98 during this play. Neither one of them has any intensity or aggressiveness in their actions during this play.

The level of effort exerted by #66 and #98 clearly demonstrates they don't care too much about winning football games.

And it does appear as well that they just don’t have a 17-ing clue who to block and or they just don’t give a 17
That’s on the coaches *** and he should be there with them doing his own somersaults for his lack of coaching ability!!

Sir, you have hit the nail on the head.

Clearly, concerning the right guard, the right tackle, and the tight end on the right side, one of two things happened: 1) all three of these idiots didn't know what play had been called; or 2) they don't care and simply chose not to block anybody.

"we still are having issues on who to target"... W Friend, Ms St OL coach

Will Friend has been run off from everywhere he's ever been, but we hire him and expect him to be different. Terribly inexperienced head coach making hires he isn't prepared to make.

Where exactly has he been "run off" from? Left UAB to go to GA, GA to CSU as OC with McElwain, Left CSU to UT with his friend Pruitt after McElwain went to FL, left UT after Pruitt fiasco/coaching changes for AU and from AU to us again due to coaching changes at AU. Not exactly being "run off".

As of now, Vandy is ranked 37th and we are now ranked 44th
He’s been fired by about everyone in the SEC as well.
He has and as you can see, we are clamping down the state of MS in recruiting********
