More stupid was the hit out bounds on 3 and 25 by Syracuse defense. Identical thing happened on Clemson defense on next drive and of course no penalty was called.

Coaches and Ap had them at 14, and yeah, that clock management was horrible.

And as someone else said, two nearly identical hits on the sideline, and different calls.

Except they were not identical. Clemson’s was blatant and in your face. The Syracuse penalty was debatable but I can see how it would be called. It was fun cooking just like the pass interference which was none that led to the final score

NC State and SU were ranked because of their records at the time. Before playing CU they both hadn't really played anyone. WF is the only team who might deserve to be ranked.

They just joined a long list of teams that were jobbed at that place. I don't pay much attention to many programs enough to say for sure but anecdotal evidence says they get more favorable calls at critical times than any other program in college football.
