Pitching stats, they have very little experience left to start our game. The ace, Pope, went Fri until he left injured early and was replaced by the #4 starter, Grimes who threw about 7 innings. Bradley, the number 2 starter threw yesterday vs AP, and Farmer threw today. So, on the roster they have only 2 guys left that have started a game all season and they each only started 1. In fact, there are only 2 pitchers left that have thrown at least 15 innings this year and one of those is the closer, Bard. This doesn't mean they don't have some talent, it just is saying they aren't extremely experienced. The four pitchers that have already thrown in the tourney for them and are most likely done, have pitched a combined almost 400 innings.

The bad news is that the Govs have done us no favors today by not scoring any runs and getting into the GT bullpen.

All that said, we need a huge game from Routt or whoever.

it was some type of midsection muscular strain.... rib cage or back or something like that. I believe they've committed to shutting him down until next weekend... but you never know. He could pitch tonight and become injured RAT of the year.

him this weekend...period. But, that leaves open the possibility that he could pitch tomorrow, technically speaking.

Pope is done this weekend, but I also saw something that said if they won tonight, they may be bring back Grimes tomorrow night on 2.5 days rest. I would guess he could give them a few innings maybe. But, lets just not get into tomorrow night as that's a jinx.
