It’s not an $8M NIL donation. It’s Bulldog Club. We are Mississippi State-ing it again.
Yes and no. It seems to be geared toward preparing for the revenue sharing that’s on its way. It’s not an $8M NIL donation. It’s Bulldog Club. We are Mississippi State-ing it again.
It's going to pay for athletes. It's being worded that way because revenue sharing isn't legal yet. Jesus man. It’s not an $8M NIL donation. It’s Bulldog Club. We are Mississippi State-ing it again.
And not that I'm trying to downplay the donation because it's historic news about MSU athletics finding that we desperately needed, but I do have a suspicion that the commitment is more along the lines of $8M over the next 10-15 years than it is an immediate cash gift.Yes and no. It seems to be geared toward preparing for the revenue sharing that’s on its way.
I think the ambiguous description of the donation was purposeful. I think they want it to look NILish without it being straight up NIL. I'm willing to bet it's tax-related.It’s not an $8M NIL donation. It’s Bulldog Club. We are Mississippi State-ing it again.
But they'll just count it towards the $22M we're already obligated to pay. So no additional money for athletes. It's going to pay for athletes. It's being worded that way because revenue sharing isn't legal yet. Jesus man.
Yes my childJesus man.
“Sunshine, go away todayIt’s not an $8M NIL donation. It’s Bulldog Club. We are Mississippi State-ing it again.
I thought my name was Jesus Christ until I was twelve years old. ******Jesus man.
You literally have no clue if that is true and have no reason to think it is. You're just making sh*t up to be miserable. But they'll just count it towards the $22M we're already obligated to pay. So no additional money for athletes.
It COULD happen the way patdog says. But it may not. We don't know yet, and neither do you. It's up to the AD.You literally have no clue if that is true and have no reason to think it is. You're just making sh*t up to be miserable.
And yet he's stating it as fact and you're on here bootlicking him with zero knowledge. It COULD happen the way patdog says. But it may not. We don't know yet, and neither do you. It's up to the AD.
These are things people want to know when you're talking about donating to NIL.
"bootlicking" = "it COULD happen the way patdog says". Interesting. And yet he's stating it as fact and you're on here bootlicking him with zero knowledge.
“Damnit! Would you get in here!”I thought my name was Jesus Christ until I was twelve years old. ******
I mean, I suppose Charlie COULD divert all the BI money to Volleyball, but at some point you have to trust the people in charge are going to do what is intended. It COULD happen the way patdog says. But it may not. We don't know yet, and neither do you. It's up to the AD.

You had a brother named Dammit, right?I thought my name was Jesus Christ until I was twelve years old. ******
I thought my first name was Dammit until I started first grade! You had a brother named Dammit, right?
Oh yeah and My wife use to call me "Oh GOD" and "Dear Jesus" while doing the deed. You had a brother named Dammit, right?
Also NIL is not tax deductible where Bulldog Club is.Yes and no. It seems to be geared toward preparing for the revenue sharing that’s on its way.
So at 100%, does that you negative or positive? Some folks on SPS and ED for that matter live pretty sad lives! Got 2B negative a lot.
You folks who are negative must not have heard the recent scientific news.
Being negative increases your chances of coming down with Alzheimers or dementia.
I’m afraid a LOT of our posters are 100% DOOMED.
BC is only tax deductible if you designate that the contribution will not give you any ticket priority before you make the donation. Also NIL is not tax deductible where Bulldog Club is.
Well maybe that’s what they did. If they can give 8 million I think they can afford to have other contributions that go toward their Club ranking and tickets.BC is only tax deductible if you designate that the contribution will not give you any ticket priority before you make the donation.
That’s exactly what this is. And hopefully this is what will happen nationwide. Bring all the NIL collectives inside the athletic departments & let the schools pay players directly. This is still a huge donation for Mississippi State regardless. $8,000,000 is a lot of money. After reading my email from the Athletic Department they were using words that seemed really lawyering. I think it is for NIL but for when the schools merge with it.
LMAO!!So at 100%, does that you negative or positive?
I find that it’s far healthier to be negative. Some folks on SPS and ED for that matter live pretty sad lives! Got 2B negative a lot.

State fandom verifiedI find that it’s far healthier to be negative.
When the bad news is confirmed, I’m not in as foul a mood as other people because it’s what I thought would happen.
When it turns out to be better than expected (even if it’s just partially bad), I’m happier.
It's about to be many more than Charlie involved. The whole AD is coming on board in 2025.I mean, I suppose Charlie COULD divert all the BI money to Volleyball, but at some point you have to trust the people in charge are going to do what is intended.
Or not and live as a miserable cynical person, I guess.
It would be great to have that much in the bank just for football (stadium, NIL, coaches salaries, marketing, etc.)We need to take some of that 51 million we got from the SEC and I’d guess in 2025 we’ll get 60 million or more because of UT and OK coming in and put towards buying some players.
There are always work-arounds when you are talking about this kind of money.BC is only tax deductible if you designate that the contribution will not give you any ticket priority before you make the donation.
No there aren't. Now that's not to say someone won't claim a deduction they're not entitled to (I DO NOT recommend this). But if they're audited, the IRS really won't care about anything other than documentation that the points were given up BEFORE the gift was made. There are always work-arounds when you are talking about this kind of money.
