Any official bowl game opt outs yet? Transfers? Is culture winning?

Did some announcement bring this on?

And, before I get blasted for the "not a Gamecock" line, one full paragraph of Kennard's draft announcement was dedicated to his time at Georgia Tech.

He probably wasn't deemed dumb and stupid and labeled as costing us a game as he was by the savvy south carolina fans.

Beamer did go to the players and ask their feelings on it and they unanimously agreed that he should be allowed to play.
Beamer is the coach and the one who is ultimately responsible. He shouldn't go to the players about much of anything. He should be sending a message to the players that quitters are off the team immediately.

I think I will trust Beamer on this one.

I mean, he was at Tech for 4 years. It would be weird for him not to acknowledge his time there.

I think he can be both a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket and a South Carolina Gamecock. I definitely want to claim his accomplishments this year: consensus All-American, Nagurski Award winner, SEC defensive player of the year.

He's only the fourth Carolina player ever to win a national award (https://www.espn.com/college-football/awards/_/team/2579).

It's really disappointing he's not finishing the season, however. That puts a damper on things (at least for me).

It's a shame with our PC culture, coaches aren't allowed to say what they REALLY think about players opting out of bowls.
What do you mean coaches can't say what they want to say. I don't see anyone censoring anyone. However, coaches, players, and fans alike all have consequences for what they say. Being held accountable is not PC Culture. One of the problems I say growing in America, and it has probably in the last 20-25 years is some people want to say any raggedy thing they want and not be held accountable for it.

If it was called "coachspeak" instead of coaches being allowed to say what they want, we'd all readily agree it exists though, right?

Coaches have to walk a line with their comments. Maybe using the word "allowed" wasn't the right word.
