I just want to know because I might could squeeze a million out of them for myself…
Yeah they obviously didn’t learn about ROI
He doesn’t and they will do whatever is necessary to get us back. Everyone just needs to get on the same page from top
What page is that? Bc our entire athletic dept and coaching staff aren’t even in the right book, much less the same page.

The dead Indians are real. In 3 short years I’ve gone from never being more proud to be a State fan to never being more embarrassed.

It has to be a big business owner. They are keeping it quiet who they are to keep from pissing off costumers who might pull for Ole Miss. The Miskelly's, Mossy Oak or Country pleasing people.

My best wild and crazy conspiracy theory is that it’s being kept anonymous because it’s Art Briles. (But I don’t actually believe this)

HOPEFULLY….that money is for later under the 2025 system and beyond, and to create an interest bearing yearly solution.

If we blow that money on one years’ team for Lebby, then 17 us.

My first thought is Adkerson, but he may be a baseball-only donor.

If we spend $8m on a single team they better be bringing home a natty.

I never see Frank Lee mentioned here but I find it very hard to imagine anyone from state being more wealthy than him. I haven’t done any work for them in a while so I don’t see any reason not to drop their name. How they fly under the radar is beyond me but that’s probably your source.

Looks like there may be a history of anonymous giving here:

It wasn’t Dak. Don’t know who it was but it wasn’t Dak.
I think you're right.I think Dak will make a more public and substantial donation when and if he does if for no other reason than to call substantial attention to the University when he does.

Is there an example of any of our former athletes who made their money in pro sports making a significant donation to the program? It doesn't seem to be a common thing.

What does "everyone just needs to get on the same page" even mean? What page have fans and season tickets holders been on that the coaches, AD and everyone who makes decisions about athletics aren't on?

Put it on baseball. We can win another Natty in that sport, it's always on ESPN and we can enjoy watching it and going to games.

Because it’s not common. Athletes just don’t give a lot of money back.

I'm interested to see if that changes at all with NIL. They have an obvious way now to give something back pretty damn directly to young athletes who may never make pro money.

If they don't, it's really not a good look to me. Especially these guys making insane money.

This is a big question for me. Arkansas’s AD said they need $12m per year in fan donations for NIL “just to be competitive.” He didn’t say that would be enough to be great. It was only to get in the game. I’m glad someone was willing to drop that much money on MSU, but the price to play the game is apparently more than that annually.

People that make bad decisions generally want others right there with them.
