So, I had a chance to get tickets and go to Peach Bowl but it just doesn't excite me to go to Atlanta and as a result I declined. Yes I am excited for another PSU football game watching from the comfort of my home but just couldn't see making the trip. Now if it was a New Year's day bowl it would most likely be a completely different story. Is anyone else just feeling meh about the bowl game?

Not feeling "meh" at all. Looking forward to the game and seeing the squad battle it out. An opportunity to be the first program to win all the bowl games that make upt he NY6. Atlanta is a fun town - was there before the Auburn game last year- it's come a long way in the 25 years or so since my last trip.

I wish I could go this year, but work committments are preventing me from travel - but I will be just as excited to watch this game as any other game PSU plays.

Not going, but excited about the game. Looks like opt outs might be minimized. Isaac playing is big. Going to need to get after QB and Isaac and DDS will do that. Having all three expected departing dbs playing is also important. Hope O plays like they did against Sparty.

How is Buckhead these days? I dated a girl back in the late 80s from Atlanta and we used to go out to Buckhead. Was a good time back in the day not sure if its changed at all.

Not sure, but I don't think it's the focal point as much as it used to be. ATL has really spread out, so there are probably other places that are nice to visit.

Lots to see and do near MB Stadium, which alone is worth seeing. The College Football HOF and Georgia Aquarium are within walking distance of the Stadium. Lots of great restaurants.

Heck yeah, I’m excited. A bowl game against a team we never play. Can’t wait to see how it plays out. Guys sitting out just offer opportunities for new guys to step up and get a jump start on next year.

It's gonna be fun to watch and of course I want a win, but really getting excited for the 12 team playoff next year. Clean slate for Franklin who couldn't get over the hump in this version of the CFP.

College Football HOF is very anti-PSU.

Beware.
Been there a few times. "anti-PSU" Is a bit exaggerated. There just isn't a lot of Penn State stuff. But I didn't notice more the last time went.

1100 car thefts in 2022
There are a lot of non violent crimes in Buckhead. It's a very high-profile, affluent area with expensive cars etc etc..that attracts a certain criminal element. Buckhead wants to separate from Atlanta and become a sovereign city with its own police force because Atlanta police are not doing a very good job in Buckhead. But like any large city, Atlanta has some crime. Just like Philly Tom.

The standard of success will be lower

I felt the same thing but is a 5.5-6 hour drive so no biggie. Hotel was 100 so were the tickets so not an extreme amount like the rose bowl last year so why not go,

LFG. First to win all NY6 games. Beat an SEC team. Prolly helps a smidge with recruiting. Momentum springboard into 2024.

I don’t know about momentum cause would we have been worse this year if not for the rose bowl and instead some mediocre bowl? Don’t think so but it was exciting to see us in the rose bowl and beat Utah and knocking their qb out early. By the way rising is coming back again he will be like 31 next year.

If you are going with children...you may want to take a day trip tp Stone Mountain....lots of things for kids.....also lunch at the Varsity is a must...the Coke museum was right next to the Aquarium...not sure if has moved...the loop around Atlanta ( where Pascual Perez got lost trying to report to the Braves) i believe is finished being resurfaced...PittyPat's Porch downtown Atlanta is the oldest restaurant serving Southern cuisine...Lake Lanier is very nice ...AND...you are only 150 miles from Augusta!

Flomax promised the aged Rising a nice NIL deal.

I am very interested in watching the offense. Specifically, Allar after he's had a few weeks to clear his head post the MY era. Also, the offense to see if there is any influence from the new OC. And to see the defense in the post-Diaz era. It is really a sneak peak into the incredibly different 2024 season where we play WVu, UCLA, USC, Wiscy, tOSU and Washington. tOSU may well be in meltdown mode as they are losing a LOT of talent and have had some key recruits switch. Unless they portal-up, they will be very thin at DT and RB while breaking in a new QB.

OSU's was gifted a relatively easy schedule by the B1G though, so they have that going for them...they only have Oregon on the road as a new, tough opponent but also have Penn State and Michigan.
