My understanding is that they broke ground in Greenville today. I know the next 2 are coming to Spartanburg. I love Whataburger from my time working and traveling to Dallas. Can't wait. Will stop in when I'm in the upstate.
And overpricedIs there one still in Columbia?
I may be stepping on toes but, I have always felt that Five Guys is overrated.
Yeah, love Culver’s too.Culver's is good and clean dine-in environment - kinda like the Chick-fil-A of burgers
Agree, Five Guys way overratedIs there one still in Columbia?

In my opinion, and I am the ultimate word in hamburger ratings, Five Guys is not overrated but, OVERPRICED! However, it has the best French fries around.Agree, Five Guys way overrated
But what if you are not a mammary man? lolNot a fast food chain, but Higher Ground in Chapin is the tits!

First one in SC is in Anderson. Building almost finished. Bad location for traffic, though. At the corner of Concord Rd and North Main Street (a/k/a Clemson Blvd.). Can't figure out why that spot was chosen. Even so, going as soon as they start cooking. My understanding is that they broke ground in Greenville today. I know the next 2 are coming to Spartanburg. Then you turn in your card.....But what if you are not a mammary man? lol
Culver’s is probably my favorite fast food burger place. Smash Burger is good too.Culver’s beats Whataburger by a mile. And I say this as a native Texan who ate at Whataburger weekly for years. For fries… Five Guys, hands down. For me, runner-up to Culver’s is Steak & Shake. YMMV
Then you are not American and your opinion is irrelevant! But what if you are not a mammary man? lol
More than a handful is a waste and there is other important geography. lolThen you turn in your card.....![]()
It's kind of nice to know as I've gotten older, I'm not the only one who cannot eat as much as I did in my younger days.I used to like Five Guys alright but it's' just outrageously priced. Also, no matter what size burger I get there, for some reason, I always feel like a giant, bloated sea monster when I'm done eating. I could handle it in my younger days, but not so much now.
I don't particularly like French fries but Five Guys are terrible, as are In-N-Out. Shake Shack ain't great either. I think McDonald's fries are best by a mile, but then McD's burgers are terrible.I love Culver's, and luckily so do the kids.
I never got the fascination with 5 guys fries. I started ordering just the burgers.

More than a handful can smother my face while other geography smothers my Longhorned Gamecock. It's like the run pass option.More than a handful is a waste and there is other important geography. lol
Their burger is so overrated and their fries are so bad that the price is irrelevant to me - I'd never eat there again. In my opinion, and I am the ultimate word in hamburger ratings, Five Guys is not overrated but, OVERPRICED! However, it has the best French fries around.
::Mods, feel free to close this thread now::

In about one hour, I will be going to Duke's BBQ buffet. I used to easily eat 2 plates. Now it's only one and I'm done.. But that one plate will put the pounds on me. So, to compensate: this morning I skipped breakfast. And instead of using regular French Vanilla coffee creamer in my coffee, I used the sugar-free variety. I hate to resort to such tactics to keep the weight off,. But I do what I have to do. I have said I do not want to go back to my younger days because I'd have to go back into studying for exams, back into the "rat race" again where the rats keep winning and, I'd have to go back into the dating game again. But there are some things about "youth" that I do miss for sure.Man, it's crazy how I could as much of anything I wanted well into my 20s and 30s. Mid-40s now and eating that extra cookie may make the difference in whether or not I can fit in my pants.

How anyone could say that McD fries are not the best fries, is fighting a losing argument. No fries come close to them. I heard a Burger King exec on TV trying to say theirs is the best. What a clown!!!With you here. I don't care what anyone says, Nothing comes close to McDonald's fries, with one large caveat: they gotta be piping hot and fresh. I live about 7 minutes from a McD's. On the rare occasion that I grab something there for the kids or whatever, by the time I get home, the fries are near the end of their useful life.
They are FANTASTIC hot and fresh. But turn into garbage pretty quickly.
Not a fan of the limp fries like Five Guys serves up.
Anyone who tries to argue McD's fries are not the best, are just trying to sound uppity and smart.
If memory serves, Burger King **used** to have the best fries - ~30yrs ago. (Good grief, I'm dating myself! How anyone could say that McD fries are not the best fries, is fighting a losing argument. Idk about all that. I think my nod would go to rushs but I’m not a shoe string fry fanHow anyone could say that McD fries are not the best fries, is fighting a losing argument. No fries come close to them. I heard a Burger King exec on TV trying to say theirs is the best. What a clown!!!
Same brother, same. I turn 41 later this month. and the last 2 or 3 years have seen the battle of the bulge increase in difficulty.Man, it's crazy how I could as much of anything I wanted well into my 20s and 30s. Mid-40s now and eating that extra cookie may make the difference in whether or not I can fit in my pants.
I've always preferred the triple option.More than a handful can smother my face while other geography smothers my Longhorned Gamecock. It's like the run pass option.
Agree on Rush's. Ike's in Spartanburg is still the best though....by a good bit. Harold's Diner on HHI is very good also. And for those that love good "hole-in-the-wall" places, you should try Summer's in Newberry....awesome burgers.Negative I have bad whataburger and in and out. Rush’s is better.
