That is my biggest frustration with SC. I am 52. I am so tired of hearing all the BS every single preseason and it ALWAYS turns out to be just that - a steaming pile of poo. We continue to make terrible hires and then refuse to get rid of them. We continue to bring in highly touted guys who end up playing so-so. Arky is fantastic for years, then they have a terrible 3-4 years and appear to be back where they were while we continue to be the same mediocre team, year after year after year.

Wrong…pittman has a year head start. We had chances to hit a few more plays but did Not. We lost 4 starters on D today. Not helping. Ark was better than us, but we have room to keep growing. Team fought hard. Just need more depth.

You and other pumpers keep saying year 2 like it's 1983. It is currently the era of NIL and open transfers....you can be a last place team in one year, and be a legit ten win team the next season. SB has some great characteristics....but some glaring mistakes (esp. hires) are evident. He is about to have to wear the big boy pants and make one big firing in 2 months. It won't be starting over either....not as long as you hire the right guy (this time) to run one side of the ball.

You pay to watch 18-22 year olds entertain you. If you want to get the best talent of those kids to make your entertainment better then you probably don’t want the reputation of being a crap fanbase or else those kids will go somewhere else.

It's tough watching a team not be able to play good fundamental ball. I'm not happy, but I knew it would take time. Didn't expect but 5 wins, 6 max before season. Interesting to see if we get that. If not, there is always next year, again

Turning a program around does take time if your expectations are to be contenders for the SEC championship. But there should be obvious improvement from year 1 to year 2. Heupel took over an absolute disaster. We had 65 scholarship players left and lost our best on defense and offense and were coming off a 3-8 season. Heupel hit the portal and got a few players to help and was competitive in year 1. Its early in year 2 and an awful lot can happen but I think we are better this year, significantly so on defense. My point being, two years is enough time to see what a new coach’s potential is especially with the portal.
