Talk about being late to the party.
Now some on here want to debate an issue which occurred 6 years ago.

So what about the actual assailants (or at least call them the accused)?
How did Briles act again....waited for the criminal justice system to run it's course? These coaches take fliers on guys all the time...EVERY year...and we do at USC as well. Like most things in life, this situation is not that black and white despite the media trying to fizzle it all down to "there is just this one bad guy....and we got him!" Everything is OK now....he's gone so we're safe. SMH

Blaming Briles for what happened at Baylor is like blaming Bill Cosby's accountant for Cosby's repeated rapes and sexual assaults over 40 years.
Baylor fired Briles in 2016 after an investigation found that he and other coaches on his staff failed to report sexual assault accusations made against their players.

He lied, hindered, covered up the investigations by the police and university.

Care to express that feeling to the women who got raped???
Obviously he was being sarcastic.
I would hope the women who were raped could make sure that the rapists either perished in jail...or worse personally. That's the point.....blaming someone wrongly is bad enough. But taking Briles shouldering all the blame for some POS people who should pay a real, HEFTY price is idiotic.
Briles isn't too far removed from a long tenure as a HS football coach and teacher. He's probably fed more hungry kids and given them a shirt off his back in any five year span during the last 3 decades than 99% of the finger pointers have combined in their collective lives on this forum.
I would be just fine with Art Briles moving in next door to me and my kids...and you anti-Briles contingent can live amongst the Shawn Oakman types of the world.

I didn't bring it up....just hard to watch the repeated Societal crumbling and weak-mindedness invade our beloved Gamecock Forums.

Dang...covered up and hindered the police and University investigations huh?
I guess ole' bald-headed Art was bee-bopping around the club at 1:30am 3-4 times....and then tailed a few of his players to off campus apartments, broke into apartments, witnessed rapes occur...stayed quiet and also urged others to pretend nothing happened....all amidst a full police investigation.

Also...the first thing College Football players do when they commit any sort of felony, rape or murder....is go to the HC, spill their guts and and see how things turn out. I know Major football program HCs have a lot of time on their hands...especially at an under-staffed University with one of the smallest undergrad enrollments in the country and DEFINITELY the smallest major football program in TX...I just wonder how he had time to do any of this good coaching since he had two full time police jobs going to cover up the incarceration of several players?
