GG is learning about the real world. Some of reality is not what we want, but we have to learn to adjust to it. He's an 18 year old young man who does not have much experience. He'll need time to adapt.

He may get the ball more if he learns to take his man off the dribble. He's going to be very good but he's one dimensional which limits his ability to score.

As an aside, I was looking at mock drafts. Most have him between 10-15 on the 2023 draft.
Next game you watch, don't follow the ball movement. Just watch him. He stands around. A LOT.

I attend most games and have watched him a ton. His game has many flaws but most of them are correctable in the eyes of the NBA. He has a good bit of work to do to become NBA ready.

To me, his most notable flaw is a piss-poor attitude coupled with negative facial expressions and body language. Since he is leaving after the season I would hasten his departure by showing him the door right now. We can't be any worse of a team with him gone.

He was running free down the left side and all Josh had to do was pass him the ball for the wide open look.. instead he chunked one up himself. Didn't need a 3.

He's not wrong... is it poor judgement to air on IG? Yes.. but where is the lie. He wasn't brought here to not get those opportunities. The whole program is disjointed and frankly and hot mess. Lamont appears to be in over his head.

lol... right. Some of the takes on this board are either fake or you really are trying to get on the Message Board Genius twitter feed.

Maybe you need to read Lamonts response… He said the play was designed for Jackson, and GG decided to veer and a different direction when the screens changed. Said it was supposed to be him catching the ball and not Gray. I highly doubt the coach drew up a plate for Josh Gray to be taking a three pointer at the end.

He is talented…no doubt. He is young…no doubt. He is strong for his age, but not strong for SEC or major college basketball. Has work to do, but the NBA now doesn’t depend on college for players to develop. They will take you and develop you quicker in their eyes. It’s now like minor league baseball. They will easily draft someone in the first round, and hopes that person helps them a year or two from now. This would be the case with Jackson.

But…and let’s make no mistake….he has lots of development to do based on what we see now. He cannot and will not take over any game at this level today. Can he when he develops….sure. We probably won’t get that chance but unless he decides he doesn’t want to be far from home and on the road with NBA or G league players, he needs another year of training.

Hope this is just a case of young and frustrated.

Disagree. It's a learning process. . He is understandably frustrated. He learned a valuable lesson this weekend

His mental maturity is obviously lagging behind his physical maturity. He apologized for it though. I didn't watch the clip he posted, but The State reported that he said he was thinking about coming back next year.

I'm SO sorry he's frustrated. He doesn't know what frustration is yet...he needs a "safe space" for his hurt feelings. And, he's learned nothing.

Not to worry, however, his parents will probably pull him before this story is over.

Yes. Apology goes a long way. Should be a senior in high school. Rod and Thunderstrick never made an error in judgement as senior.

Josh Vann went off the deep end mid year this past year. Did coach send him packing?
