Exactly like basketball only in the opposite direction.
We aren’t worried about football. Basketball is back and that’s all that matters now 🫡
They are 100% moved onto basketball. TN fans have been there and it’s not fun.
Now all 3 of our big sports are competing at a high level. Football is top 10 and our recruiting continues to improve every class, basketball won the SEC last year (regular season) and made the elite 8 (damn Zach Edey!) I do think TN men’s basketball will take a step back this season as we lost about everyone from last years team except Zeigler and Mashack. Knecht is gone but man he was fun while he was here. Tony Vitello is building a dynasty in baseball as he got his 1st natty last year and TN has went all in on being an elite baseball program moving forward (big time stadium renovations, facilities, making Vitello the highest paid baseball coach in the country as I think he makes more than many managers in MLB).
Also excited about our new women’s bball coach. Plays an entertaining style and will be fun to watch. She also may be the prettiest women’s coach in the SEC. Softball is a top program in the SEC as well.
The TN athletic department has cranked up the commitment to winning since Danny White became our AD. I know TN used to be hoping to be bowl eligible not long ago in football and it sucked. It’s pretty impressive how quickly Heupel has turned TN into a playoff caliber team considering the mess Pruitt left for him with NCAA sanctions looming, mass exodus of transfers and just a bleak outlook. Pretty amazing what happens when everyone gets on the same page and commits to excellence from the president to the chancellor to the AD to the coaches and on down.

I like Bruce Pearl. A lot of TN fans don’t but he brought TN basketball back to life and I appreciate that. I think he genuinely liked TN as well but made a dumb decision and lied about a recruit being at a BBQ. Would’ve been a minor infraction but because he lied about it and was caught in the lie it made it much worse for TN and him.
I’ll pull for him and Auburn unless it affects my Vols. Auburn should be good this year. I just hope Kentucky sucks as them sucking at basketball cracks me up for some reason.
When I’m not pulling for Auburn, I’m a closet Tennessee fan so I’m always rooting for you guys in every sport! They are my football team this year so that I can still enjoy winning!

No other team in the nation gets an article written when a player gets a ticket for speeding. It's only highlighted because of the Devon's death and Georgia winning back to back titles. At any other school it's a blip on the radar.

Interesting take. 5 years ago you wouldn’t have said that at all. Would we consider Bama a non football school from the late 90s-2009? Or would you see it as rebuilding years? Is Auburn in a slump? Absolutely. Does it take away Auburn from being a top 15 program nationally and historically? No, it does not at all.
