Tenn is good. Their weakness is their secondary... at least it has been most of the year. Just like the taters. Dare I say if we can get our QB on a roll...

How did #11 Hyatt slip out of our hands. The kid was in our backdoor.
There was a huge debate on it at the time he was recruited. IIRC it had something to do with his dad....same reason Clemson didn't look at him.

That was a BS call, Tennessee did the same to bama the only difference was Tennessee grabbed the face mask on the way down.

The things about Bama that are striking to me:
1. They aren’t nearly as deep as they used to be
2. For a Saban-coached team, they are undisciplined and sloppy (this one is especially surprising)
3. They struggle on D

These have all been hallmarks of Sagan’s teams.

The Alabama defense has lost it's edge. The qb is what keeps them in the game. He took some vicious shots but took it like a man. No complaining, no whining to the officials. Can fling the football into some tight spaces.

Young is crazy good. I loved watching him play yesterday. Everything around could be falling apart and he could have 4 defenders zeroing in on him and he keeps his head and figures out how to make a play.

Geez. We've lost some great players to those viles. I go back to Stanley Morgan who originally committed to us, Carl Pickens who originally committed to us and I could go on. It sounds like another one will go their way this afternoon after we all but had him locked up. Hope we doesn't come back to haunt

Alabama played abominably and yet would probably have won if that boy had kicked that late field goal. They could not have played worse. That's alarming on a couple of different levels - both for their constituency and for the constituencies of other people they might play. I'll agree this isn't the classic Bama, but they aren't exactly without hope, either. That old man out there didn't forget how to coach since they last won the championship. But now, they have to win out.

What we are witnessing in Alabama is Nick Saban approaching the end of his career and coasting to retirement. And trying to pass the the torch to Kirby at GA.

I don't think he's coasting. I think it's more likely that the constant turnover on the coaching staff has finally become too much to be sustainable.

I don't think he's coasting, but I do think we're witnessing what happens to all coaches. For whatever reason, they just lose their grip towards the end. Now, admittedly, there may be a lot of overreaction here, as Bama still will likely not finish the season with more than a couple losses, but it's the nature of their play that's interesting to me. Saban teams have always played disciplined, but that hasn't been as much the case the past 2 seasons. For sure, Bama is in no danger of becoming a 4-loss type under Saban, but their air of invincibility is gone. Small though they may be, you are starting to see some cracks. Who knows though? Saban may get fired up and whip this team into shape, win out and win the title. Or they could lose a couple more. Just hard to tell.
