Just a stupid decision to leave Gainey in. They he tagged him pretty good the last couple of bats and he threw one right down the middle to probably their hottest hitter - don’t see Clemmy do that to Petry did we - just plain out dumb

We’ve been playing with fire all year. Not sure how many games we’ve won with one really good inning and 8 bad ones. Not gonna cut it against good teams, as we just found out.

Guess it's safe to say you don't want to be televised by the "Extra" part of ACC Network Extra

It was bad, but as I told a buddy better than nothing. I sure do wish I could sync up our radio guys, Coach Lake is doing a really good job!

Seems like it would have required more effort to be that bad. It would have better to just have a sky cam type setup and we’ll just listen to the stadium sounds. One cam behind the plate so we can see the whole field.

He listened to someone!
You do not want to throw one over the middle to him. Big mistake if you do. His swing is designed for just that. He has tattooed a lot of them lately. Outside fastball and inside slider are still a concern but I'm pulling for him.

Agreed. If you were wondering what we would look like against better pitching, you probably didnt like what you saw.
We have a few "experienced" players who better start producing sooner than later. They have a week to start that process. Doesn't look good for the long run at this point.

No it doesn't given we are at the point of the schedule where development starts to show or it doesn't... mechanics are maintained or improved or they aren't. We always look good mechanically in the first 10 games. Kingston's tenure has always hinged on what happens next. This is not a good start to what's next.

Listening to the ITG podcast, and Whittle is on there speaking truth. Once again, we're one of the poorest hitting teams in the SEC. We're pathetic with RISP. Near the bottom of the conference. He summed it up perfectly with this: We're SUPPOSED to be a hitting team. That's how we were built to win. We are not built to win with pitching and defense.

We're in trouble. Kingston's "plate discipline" approach is killing what were supposed to be good hitters.
