2-4... NOW it's time to try and get this "thing" corrected.I'd prefer, ''we are making coaching changes on the defensive side of the ball to try to get this thing corrected''.
Time for the players to hold each other accountable as well. Start with a defensive closed door meeting and have the seniors step up and talk out whatever is going on with the DBacks. The DL has improved since Travian joined but the LBs and DBacks are terrible. I see a backfield playing selfishly and not as a team. Gray had this unit playing pretty well last year, I am not so sure it’s all on the coaches.I'd prefer, ''we are making coaching changes on the defensive side of the ball to try to get this thing corrected''.
Having the DB's turn and look for the ball to make a play is pretty coachable.Time for the players to hold each other accountable as well. No argument there but isn’t that peewee football? At a minimum high school level techniques?Having the DB's turn and look for the ball to make a play is pretty coachable.
Our DB's obviously skipped a few grades. No argument there but isn’t that peewee football? At a minimum high school level techniques?
Maybe he should focus on how UF had 2 DB's around our best WR on that play, and have his DC incorporate that concept. His last statement of blaming Rattler for the INT is pathetic. Rattler is the only reason we have won any games this year. There was no time on the clock and we'd already choked. He was just trying to make a miracle play
If that was the only thing I would agree. I asked in another thread, name something out D does well? Why don’t our DBs EVER turn to find the ball? Why do we leave so many guys wide *** open? Why do we miss so many tackles? Why can’t we get pressure on the QB? I know we did tonight, but UF is about as bad as we are in allowing sacks. The CBs are guys that have been in the program for at least 3 years. The safeties are sophomores, but have started every game since game 2 of their freshman year. The DL is loaded with upper class men. This game was not an isolated incident. Been going on every game, with guys that SHOULD know better. But they apparently don’t…and that’s so much worse than simply not having talent. It’s time for White to go.He is telling the truth. No harm in that. He is telling what happened. Do you prefer BS coaches speak. I saw everything he said. Our DEs were crashing down at stupid angles. No way a coach teaches that. We must improve.
He ain't gonna say that but I'll predict he'll be doing it if he wants to save his own job.I'd prefer, ''we are making coaching changes on the defensive side of the ball to try to get this thing corrected''.
I was disappointed with the INT, but I had no issue with Rattler trying to make a play. On one of the previous plays, he held the ball for like 7 or 8 seconds before throwing it away. There simply wasn't time in the game for that. When you only have 48 seconds to drive 75 yards, you have to take some chances. All of the normal rules about protecting the football kind of go out the door at that point. The ONLY way you win the game at that point is to throw the ball down the field - maybe they intercept it, but maybe our guys catch the ball. Throwing it away doesn't do anything to advance the cause. His last statement of blaming Rattler for the INT is pathetic. Rattler is the only reason we have won any games this year. Agreed. I thought Rattler played a very good game but made some questionable decisions on the last two series. The interception was not one if them.I was disappointed with the INT, but I had no issue with Rattler trying to make a play. Would you? I highly doubt it. It would just be a different brand on griping.Just tell us how sorry this football team is and we would feel better.
I disagree. The last INt was terrible. There was still time. He didn’t have to do that.Agreed. I thought Rattler played a very good game but made some questionable decisions on the last two series. The interception was not one if them.
Yes. It would make me feel better if the head coach at least acknowledged what was obvious, instead of pretending we’re just one or two tweaks away from turning it around.Just tell us how sorry this football team is and we would feel better.
He had to take a shot given that he ate up so much time on the prior plays. We'll agree to disagree.I disagree. The last INt was terrible. There was still time. He didn’t have to do that.
Remember, he never told us how bad it was under Satterfield. He dealt with it behind the scenes and then made public change known at the end of the year.Yes. If the defense makes a play as many times as our receivers get open, we wouldn't be complaining about our defense. Our receivers may not be great outside of X but they are about the 5th position when it comes to positions that need the most work. The defense deserves all the criticism you want to heap on them but did you see how many times Rattler was given plenty of time to throw the ball and couldn't find a single guy open? The receivers aren't doing a very good job of getting open in my opinion and he is really missing Wells.
Agreed. Question- do you think Beamer fires Satterfield if he doesn't leave on his own? JMO- I think there was about a 40% chance he fires Satterfield.Remember, he never told us how bad it was under Satterfield. He dealt with it behind the scenes and then made public change known at the end of the year.

Has Beamer fired anyone? Everyone can stay as long as they like it seems.Agreed. Question- do you think Beamer fires Satterfield if he doesn't leave on his own? JMO- I think there was about a 40% chance he fires Satterfield.
Here is how a great coach conducts himself. “Whew that was like 1985 out there, and I tried to **** it up with some of the play calls, man”. Maybe Shame could learn something here?
Character is the same, win or lose. Beamer blames his players and everything under the sun other than himself and is extremely defensive. Heupel blames himself for his mistakes even after a win. BTW, he is the same after a loss, just doesn't have the smile. Now I'm not to impressed with Beamer's after game speech but to compare a coach after he won to a coach after he lost are 2 different things.
Should have posted a video of him after he loses then.Character is the same, win or lose. Beamer blames his players and everything under the sun other than himself and is extremely defensive. Heupel blames himself for his mistakes even after a win. BTW, he is the same after a loss, just doesn't have the smile.
I’m not going to trash Rattler because he is a big reason why we even had a shot. However the last INT was a poor decision. If I remember correctly it was second down and we still had all three timeouts and around 30 seconds left.If you’re on here throwing shade at RATTLER for ANY friggin reason you’re a moron with the football iq of the average female. For Christs sake. And that includes Beamer.
How about as an OC in a situation where all we need to do is move chains a time or two and go home, you give us something to work with besides the same vanilla horse—- we run as our base package and that everybody and his brother KNEW we going to do because we don’t have the friggin SCROTE OR IMAGINATION to do anything besides play not to lose and hope the opponent shites themselves. Like real football coaches would.
Why not? I wouldn’t call them out if they simply got beat, but when you make bonehead mental plays that’s on the player. These guys want to be pros by making as much money as possible as basically unrestricted free agents. Then they play like crap and want to be coddled like poor ole college players. Forgive me if my gove a damn meter is currently bustedBlaming the players probably isn't the best way to get those players to give you their best going forward. It also isn't the best thing for a coach midway through his third season to address a loss. A good coach says "we won the game" and "I lost the game".
I believe Satt was given a choice and both choices had him leaving at the end of the season.Agreed. Question- do you think Beamer fires Satterfield if he doesn't leave on his own? JMO- I think there was about a 40% chance he fires Satterfield.
Thank you. I don’t know if they even have group film sessions any more, maybe they just email them individually now or something, but there are three plays I would gather the entire team together and show on repeat:Why not?
