I think the last best run we had in recruiting was in the SOS years and Beamer was recruiting coordinator. Beamer left, Jr. took over recruiting and our level of talent went sideways, as well as our record. Am I wrong? Anyway glad Tanner made the MUCH critized hire. Remember Beamer never been sa H C or even a coordinator at this level. The hire is working out ok to date.

Beamer proving me wrong. Def had my doubts, criticized him A TON, but the man is killing it right now.
He was unproven...still is to some degree, but I would not underestimate him.
I think Shane's ultimate legacy depends on how the OC performs and how the QB position performs over the next 3-4 years.But you can say the same about most schools.
Is this gonna be the name of the 30 for 30 about him that happens in about 40 years when all is said & done? Hope I'm alive & well to see it.
Those FCS guys he brought in his first year hit the portal. But they were portal guys anyway. I can't think of any regularly contributing players he has recruited our of high school who have hit the portal, but there may be some.
Damn sure was. Bill Muschamp created one of the biggest "me before we" cultures ever seen in humanity.

In 2 seasons Beamer went from a humiliating 30-0 loss at home to beating #8 clemson on the road one week after beating another top 10. A large part of this turnaround is through the portal. The portal is not an automatic patch for holes in a system. He's done a remarkable job with it. Time will tell, but the sky's the limit. We finally have something we can look forward to again.
Beamer is doing it the old fashioned way with relationships and character and is getting the same type of recruit in return.

I think the best of the Muschamp recruits is Dak Joyner. What an outstanding young man. I hope he has a breakout season this year and somehow gets to the next level.
Shane is proving to be a stronger recruiter than Frank was. And, on the field on game day, Shane won more games than the "experts" expected in each of his 2 seasons here.

Absolutely right. He was RC in 09-10. The players in those classes laid the ground work for the streak and the 3 straight 11 win seasons. Now he's back, doing the same thing he did back then. 4 out of the top 8 in DC/Maryland this year. 4 of top 5 in SC. This 2024 class is going to nuts. Can't wait until he steals Franks from the taters. That's going to feel good.
Getting Franks and as much help as possible on offense, especially the ol, will be necessary. It pains me to post this but the upstate folks are killing it on the dl. They have commits from 3 outstanding dl from Ga. I’ve seen them play in the state play offs and they are for real plus they somehow got the best dl from Bama and another dl from N C. Ought to be interesting years ahead. Good old fashioned hate from us against the bad guys. Bring it on.
