We'll know by next year though. But sometimes its hard to tell. And no one can tell right now with Lebby. If you say you can, you are a dumb.

Possibly. possibly not. We'll know by next year though.
3 years isnt croom time."Give Croom time"
yeah i think thats fair. by next year we'll have a good idea. and unless its utter disaster, year 3 should be put up or shut up time... followed by a move made unless we see program pointing a direction we like. We'll know by next year though.
even then. This time of college football. 3 seasons is enough to get your system, your nil supporters fired up, your recruits, coaches, etc all in place... where you can see the light at the end of the tunnell.Possibly. possibly not.
We had 58 new players this year. Thats crazy. And thats not really even mostly on Lebby.
I loved leach but when he died he left us in a bad spot. He recruited for his system.
We have zero talent on defense. I bet we don't have more than 1 or 2 players on defense that sniff the nfl that are Juniors or seniors (probably sophomores as well).

im not saying everyone needs a 3rd year... but we do.I don't think they get 3 years anymore. In an era where you can hit the portal and pick up somebody and plug them in like an automobile fuse and crank it up and go, 3 years won't work anymore. In this year 3 bad years sets you back too much. I think Lebby deserves another year, but if he hits the portal and lays another egg next year, why does he deserve a 3rd year?
I agree with this.even then. This time of college football. 3 seasons is enough to get your system, your nil supporters fired up, your recruits, coaches, etc all in place... where you can see the light at the end of the tunnell.
The only way i pull the plug next season is if there is zero improvement from this year. Or if it looks roughly the same.... year 3 is the put up or shut up year for me. Where even a middling type season, he should be shown the door
Nah man we are mississippi state. every is dying to come here and coach. Just fire them every year until you find the next nick saban.im not saying everyone needs a 3rd year... but we do.
We are currently at 3 coaches in 3 years. We need some stability. Again our program is a car wreck right now. We've got to put the car back together before we can drive it. We gotta let someone have enough time to get the car back road worthy again.
But as I've said...if Lebby has another 2-10 year, blown out every sec game, cant beat toledo at home type year... then yes, he needs to go. I'm assuming we see some level of improvment next season.
If you do not want to donate then don't. But borderline trying to convince others not to is stupid.I will. Donating without a real plan is STUPIDITY.
Unless you have some sort of moral pull to help out football players. Then by all means, allow them to separate you from your money.
I’d rather eat Dominos once a week.
Correct.I don't think it's sustainable, but I've been wrong lotsa times in my life.
I wouldn't do it if I had 17 you money. So, yes, I have no right to complain that we suck. I will try to remember that.
Thats goat in a nutshell. If you do not want to donate then don't. But borderline trying to convince others not to is stupid.
Basically no one in this thread is helping the cause. I guess that is to be expected with a free board.
You're not wrong. But the push to get middle class alumni to give $100 is misguided. This is a game played by rich folk, and corporate interests. If you do not want to donate then don't. But borderline trying to convince others not to is stupid.
I am not thrilled with our athletic department either. But your approach is wrong. I do not know if we will turn this around soon, but I can promise we will not if we do not all get off our tail and give what we can. If you do not want to, by all means. But quit trying to talk others out of it.You're not wrong. But the push to get middle class alumni to give $100 is misguided. This is a game played by rich folk, and corporate interests.
And that's my biggest beef with everything we are doing in the athletic department. There is no plan.
Fitz said the same yesterday. You're not wrong. But the push to get middle class alumni to give $100 is misguided. This is a game played by rich folk, and corporate interests.

You really have to hand it to these guys who live in that maroon bubble, man. They are hardcore. They give, support, no matter what spoon-fed BS they are shoveled. Heck they are still members of pay boards and crootin sites. Sometimes I think that 'access' they get is the biggest thrill.Fitz said the same yesterday.
That’s old way thinking. With the unlimited transfer portal and NIL, things are different. You don’t build programs the same way anymore. Unless you go the route I’m saying and run systems that are different. Create that type of culture.Step 1 in any type of rebuild moving forward, is to find someone and give them 3 years to see if said coach can get things at least headed the right direction for the next guy if its a failure.
things are different. But 4 coaches in 4 years is not the way to go about it. No coach is going to come in thinking that if he doesnt have success year 1 he's going to be fired. Same for assistants coming with said coach. That’s old way thinking. With the unlimited transfer portal and NIL, things are different. You don’t build programs the same way anymore. Unless you go the route I’m saying and run systems that are different. Create that type of culture.
back to the ol arkansas did it thru the portal. There are guys who know how to work the portal and its pretty impressive. jed Fish , Cig and whoever Arkansas had working the portal this year probably Petrino. Old salts who can evaluate and see the big picture. Invaluable in this era.
This is my first time over here. It is clear the common conclusion toward the BI/SEF. So yeah. So, "basically" everyone on the pay board is "helping the cause", is that "what is to be expected" from a pay board?
Just go to the pay board and ask.... they'll set you straight. *So, "basically" everyone on the pay board is "helping the cause", is that "what is to be expected" from a pay board?
You might want to also check out Gene's Page and Elitedawgs, great bunch of guys at both places......they aren't nearly as grouchy as we are hereThis is my first time over here.
I'm helping. Been helping since before NIL. And i don't ask questions about where my money goes. The people I give to i trust.Basically no one in this thread is helping the cause. I guess that is to be expected with a free board.
There is a plan. you just think you are smarter than the athletic department. You aren't. You are worse than coach34.You're not wrong. But the push to get middle class alumni to give $100 is misguided. This is a game played by rich folk, and corporate interests.

Fits isn't exactly a beacon of intelligence.Fitz said the same yesterday.

Me personally, I want to win, and I can't support something that contains a premise that I never agreed with in the first place. I don't give a shlt was my BC rank is or what seat I get.
Again, my opinion is that I don’t care about 4 coaches in 4 years, if I finally see the light and elect to go the route I’ve been talking about. Then when I do, I’d give it plenty of time. Again, in my opinion continuing with Lebby is too common place for who we are and in this new college football landscape.things are different. But 4 coaches in 4 years is not the way to go about it. No coach is going to come in thinking that if he doesnt have success year 1 he's going to be fired. Same for assistants coming with said coach.
We are in a unique spot where we need stability. It doesnt matter what systems you are running or anything of that matter... if you are turning over 50% of your roster, 95% of your coaching staff, on a year to year basis you arent going to be successful.
