At some point they need to start playing up to the theoretical recruited talent on the roster—the recruiting advantage they are supposed to possess over all but two other teams in the conference. Anything less than nine is a disappointment, but I somewhat fear to be disappointed again due to a couple of key positional weaknesses that seem to hurt them in recurring fashion.

8 - 4. I'm counting Northwestern as a win and MSU a loss. Could go the other way also or both could be losses making it 7 - 5. I cannot see Penn State beating both however.

8-4 by default. Could easily see 9-3 or 7-5. But I do think this team has a lot of talent and if the OL and LB corps perform, 10-2 is a very real possibility. We'll all know more after Purdue.

Exactly…it’s like Lucy and Charlie Brown…always next year…I have seen enough…time for a change…the program is stale and soft.

Would be sorta cool if our coaching staff wasn’t outcoached and outgameplanned week after week, season after season.

fans less optimistic but not the 6-6 predictions many folks in November 2022 claim there was

I was a 9-3 guy due to an expectation that we would lose one against either UM or OSU then not recover for weeks. I also did not calibrate for Clifford's low ceiling due to his Farvenian talent of keeping both teams in the game, trusting that 1, 3, and 5 would hide many of the QBs weaknesses. I also credit the scheme and temperament synergy between Coaches Diaz and Poindexter, respectively for preventing us from collapsing into our L-column funk. These things plus Fashanu and Kaytron playing like a beasts really gives us hope for future days. WE ARE...

I got piled on by the entire Board when I suggested the pre-season polls were ridiculously negative and was laughed at when I said #12-15 was much more reasonable.

Tom, add that to my Moderator resume.
